1994–95 Iraq FA Cup
The 1994–95 Iraq FA Cup was the 18th edition of the Iraq FA Cup as a clubs-only competition. The tournament was won by Al-Zawraa for the third consecutive time and the tenth time in their history, beating Al-Jaish 3–0 in the final. The previous rounds saw Al-Zawraa beat Samarra 3–1, Diyala 3–0, Al-Karkh 4–2, Al-Shorta 3–0 and Al-Ramadi on penalties in the semi-finals at Al-Shaab Stadium on 17 April 1995. Al-Jaish reached the final by beating Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya 1–0 on the same day at Al-Kashafa Stadium. Al-Zawraa also won the 1994–95 Iraqi National League to complete their second double in a row. Iraq FA Cup
The Iraq FA Cup, known as the Iraq Cup ( ar, كأس العراق) in Arabic, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic Iraqi football. First held in the 1948–49 season for clubs and institutions before returning in 1975–76 for clubs only, it is organised by the Iraq Football Association. The tournament begins with several rounds played between lower division clubs, twelve of which advance to the Round of 32, where the Iraqi Premier League clubs are entered. This is followed by the Round of 16, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the final which is played as a single leg in Baghdad. The winners of the competition are awarded a place in the next season's AFC Cup group stage as well as qualifying for the Iraqi Super Cup where they play against the league champions at the start of the following season (or the league runners-up, if the cup winners have won the double). Al Ramadi Sport Club ( ar, نادي الرمادي), is an Iraqi football club based in Ramadi, in Anbar province, that plays in Iraq Division one. History Al-Ramadi Club played in the Iraqi Premier League. In the 1995–96 season they won the Al-Nasr wal-Salam Cup, beating Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya 1–0 with a goal by Zuhair Abdul-Ridha, beating Al-Shorta 5–4 on penalties and then beating Al-Naft 3–0 in the final. Hussam Fawzi Naji (born 3 September 1974) is an Iraqi football manager and former player who played as a forward. He was the captain of the Iraq national team. Playing career Hussam was a leader of the Iraqi strikeforce capable of moments of genius during a game. He scored two goals against Al-Shorta in the 2–1 win in the Iraqi Cup final in 1996. The greatest moment in his career came when he scored one goal and set-up another against Iran at the 1996 Asian Cup and was later awarded man of the match. Sahib Abbas Hassan
Sahib Abbas Hassan ( ar, صاحب عباس حسين; born 3 November 1969) is an Iraqi former professional footballer who played as a striker. He represented Iraq at the 1996 Asian Cup, and also played for various clubs in Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, and Syria. 1994–95 Iraqi National League
The 1994–95 Iraqi National Clubs First Division was the 21st season of the competition since its foundation in 1974. The league title was won by Al-Zawraa for the second time in a row, and they also won the Iraq FA Cup for the third consecutive time. Half of the league's competing teams were relegated in order to result in a 12-team league for the next campaign. In this season, three points were given for a win instead of two points, and four points were given for a win by three goals or more. Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya ( ar, نادي القوة الجوية الرياضي, lit=Air Force Club) is an Iraqi sports club based in Rusafa District, Baghdad that competes in the Iraqi Premier League, the top-flight of Iraqi football.
