1993–94 French Rugby Union Championship
The 1993–94 French Rugby Union Championship was contested by 32 clubs divided into four pools. At the end of the first phase, the teams placed in the first four places of each pool were admitted to the "Top 16" arranged with four pools of four teams. The first two of each pool were admitted to the quarter-finals. The four clubs of Périgueux, Dijon, Lyon OU and Lourdes, the newcomer, coming from "Group B" 1992-93. Toulouse won its 11th title, beating Montferrand in the final. Toulouse became, with Béziers, the winner of the most titles. Montferrand lost another final. Club Athlétique Brive Corrèze Limousin, also referred to as CA Brive, Brive () or CAB, is a French professional rugby union club based in Brive-la-Gaillarde, in the Corrèze department. Section Paloise (, Bearnese: ), commonly referred to as ''Section'' or as ''Pau'' , is a professional rugby union club based in Pau, France. They compete in the Top 14, France's top division of rugby, and the EPCR Challenge Cup. Their home ground is the Stade du Hameau, after 80 years of playing at the Croix du Prince stadium (1910-1990). The club won the Bouclier de Brennus three times in 1928, 1946 and 1964 and the European Challenge in 2000. Rugby Club Nîmes Gard (also known as just RC Nîmes) are a French rugby union club that currently compete in the Fédérale 2 competition, the third division of French rugby. They have in the past played in the higher divisions, and in 1991 were quarter-finalists of the top French championship. Nîmes were established in 1963 and play in red and green colours.
