The 1993–94 Football League Cup (known as the Coca-Cola Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 34th EFL Cup, Football League Cup, a knockout competition for England's top 92 association football, football clubs. Aston Villa F.C., Aston Villa won the competition, beating Manchester United F.C., Manchester United 3–1 in the 1994 Football League Cup Final, final. First round A total of 56 of the Football League First Division, First, Football League Second Division, Second and Football League Third Division, Third Division clubs compete from the First Round. 22 teams from the Third Division, 24 teams from the Second Division, and 10 teams from the First Division (the 7 teams that placed 15th-21st in Division One from the previous season plus the 3 promoted sides from Division Two from the previous season).
