The 1993 Campeonato Nacional, known as Campeonato Nacional Copa Banco del Estado de Chile, Banco del Estado 1993 for sponsorship purposes, was the 61st season of top-flight football in Chile. Colo-Colo won its 19th title following a 3–0 home win against Unión Española on 2 January 1994. Unión Española also qualified for the next 1994 Copa Libertadores, Copa Libertadores as Liguilla winners. Chilean Primera División
The Chilean Primera División (English: First Division) is the top-tier league of the Chilean football league system. It is organized by the ''Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional, ANFP''. The league is known as the Campeonato AFP PlanVital for sponsorship reasons. Format As of the 2018 season, 16 teams compete in the league, playing against each other two times, home and away. Relegation and promotion Currently, the two teams with the worst scores in the season, are relegated to Primera B, and replaced by the Champions and Runners-up of this Division. Qualification for international competitions The champions of the Campeonato are immediately qualified to the Copa Libertadores for the next year, as well as the second and third place. The fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh place are qualified to the Copa Sudamericana for the next year. Club de Deportes La Serena S.A.D.P., is a Chilean football club based in the city of La Serena, Coquimbo Region. Juan Carlos Ibañez (March 20, 1969 – October 4, 2015) was an Argentine footballer who played for clubs of Argentina, Chile, Perú, Spain and Colombia. Death Ibañez was born in General San Martín, Chaco, Argentina. Cristian Antonio Montecinos González (born 29 December 1970) is a Chilean former footballer who played as a striker for several teams in Chile, Colombia, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. He also played for the Chile national team. Montecinos began his professional career in 1988. Miguel Latín
Miguel Angel Latín Carrasco (born July 27, 1968 in Llay-Llay, Chile) is a former Chilean footballer who played for clubs of Chile. Latín played as a right back for Deportes Temuco before joining Colo-Colo for the 1997 Clausura tournament. Latín was a peripheral figure at Colo-Colo, playing in the 1997 Copa Libertadores group stage and making just two league appearances as the club won the title. After he retired from playing, Latín became a football coach. He was appointed caretaker manager of Deportes Temuco in 2013, leading the club until the end of the year.
