The Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 (; ar, الرابطة المحترفة الأولى لكرة القدم) was previously called the Tunisian National Championship between 1956 and 1994. is the top division football tournament in Tunisia under the organization of the Tunisian Football Federation. The first edition was held during the French protectorate of Tunisia, the 1907 season, under the auspices of the Federation of Union des Sociétés Françaises de Sports Athlétiques, and it was played in a knockout system, and the first official match in the history of the tournament was played on 9 June 1907. The Ligue Professionelle 2 is the second football level in Tunisia, under Ligue Professionelle 1 which is the top level of Tunisian football. Contested by 24 clubs, divided in two groups, playing each other twice during the season, the top two teams are promoted at the end of the season, whilst the bottom two teams are relegated to the Ligue Professionnelle 3. Stade Tunisien (; ar, الملعب التونسي) or ST is a football club from Bardo, Tunis, Tunisia. Alongside Espérance de Tunis and Club Africain it forms the group of three best teams in the capital city region. Founded in 1948, it is the successor of the football section of the defunct Association of Young Muslims of Bardo founded in 1923. The team plays in green, red and white colours, after the Bey colours, as the team was under their patronage until the Tunisian independence. Their ground is Hedi Ennaifer, which has a capacity of 12,000. Océano Club de Kerkennah ( ar, نادي محيط قرقنة, often referred to as ''OCK'' or mainly ar, El-Mouhit, script=Latn) is a Tunisian football team from the archipelago of Kerkennah. The club was founded in 1963. They play in blue and white colors. OCK also has small volleyball, kung-fu, judo and swimming sections, and formerly had handball, basketball and pétanque sections.
