The 1992 European Super Cup was the 17th edition of the European Super Cup, an annual football match organized by UEFA (the Union of European Football Associations) and contested by the winners of the previous season's European Cup and Cup Winners' Cup competitions. Klaus Allofs (born 5 December 1956) is a German former professional Association football, football player, manager, and executive. Andreas "Andi" Herzog (born 10 September 1968) is an Austrian former footballer and manager who last managed Admira Wacker. As a player, he played as an attacking midfielder, most notably for Werder Bremen. A full international between 1988 and 2003, he won 103 caps and scored 26 goals for the Austria national team. Bernd Hobsch (born 7 May 1968) is a German former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career Hobsch appeared in more than 230 East German and German top-flight matches. Miroslav "Mirko" Votava (born 25 April 1956) is a German retired footballer and manager. Dieter Eilts (born 13 December 1964) is a German former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. After retiring as a player, he began a managerial career and also worked for SV Werder Bremen as director of the football academy. Rune Bratseth (born 19 March 1961) is a Norwegian former footballer who played as a sweeper. Nicknamed ''Elk'' due to his stature, he is best known for his spell with Werder Bremen, also having appeared in the 1994 World Cup with Norway.
