Algerian Super Cup
The Algerian Super Cup ( ar, كأس الجزائر الممتازة), is an Algerian football competition, held as a game between the reigning champions of the Algerian League and the Algerian Cup. The first edition was held in 1973 and then again in 1981, 1992 and 1995 before being scrapped. The game returned in 2006 but would be scrapped again after the 2007 edition, returning once again in 2013. The current holders are CR Belouizdad, who beat USM Alger in the 2019 final, played in November 2020. MC Alger is the most successful club in the competition, having won the trophy three times. The 5 July 1962 Stadium () (the name refers to 5 July 1962, the day Algeria declared independence), is a football and athletics stadium located in Algiers, Algeria. The stadium was inaugurated in 1972 with a capacity of 95,000. It served as the main stadium of the 1975 Mediterranean Games, the 1978 All-Africa Games, the 2004 Pan Arab Games, and the 2007 All-Africa Games. The stadium was one of two venues of the 1990 African Cup of Nations (the other venue was the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba). It hosted 9 matches of the tournament, including the final match, which had a second record attendance of 105,302 spectators. In the final match, the home team Algeria defeated Nigeria 1–0 to win the tournament. The record attendance is of 110,000 spectators in the friendly match between Algeria and Serbia on 3 March 2010. Tahar Chérif El-Ouazzani
Si-Tahar Chérif El-Ouazzani ( ar, سي الطاهر شريف الوزاني, born 10 July 1967 in Oran) is a former Algerian footballer. Career Chérif El-Ouazzani started his career with hometown MC Oran in 1983. In his first season, he would lead the club to its first league title in 17 years. The following season he would lead the team to the final of the African Cup of Champions Clubs where they lost a controversial match-up on penalties to Raja Casablanca. He would play one more season for MCO during which he won the 1990 African Cup of Nations before signing his first professional contract with Turkish club Aydinspor, joining fellow Algerian Djamel Amani at the club. Noureddine Saâdi (6 May 1950 – 20 July 2021) was an Algerian football manager who was managing JSM Béjaïa in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1. He coached many major clubs in Algeria, as well as clubs in Libya and the United Arab Emirates. He was also a member of Algeria's coaching staff at the 1990 African Cup of Nations.
