David McWilliams (born April 18, 1942) is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head coach at Texas Tech University in 1986 and at the University of Texas at Austin from 1987 to 1991, compiling a career college football record of 38–30. Early life and playing career Raised in Cleburne, Texas, McWilliams' long tenure with the Longhorn football program started as a player from 1961 to 1963, when he helped the team compile a record of 30–2–1. During that time, the squad won a national championship, three Southwest Conference championships, and finished the year ranked among the nation's top four each year. Raycom Sports is an American producer of sports television programs. It is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, and owned and operated by Gray Television. It was founded in 1979 by husband and wife, Rick and Dee Ray. In the 1980s, Raycom Sports established a prominent joint venture with Jefferson-Pilot Communications which made them partners on the main Atlantic Coast Conference basketball package. War Memorial Stadium (Arkansas)
War Memorial Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Little Rock, Arkansas. The stadium is primarily used for American football and is the home stadium for the Catholic High School Rockets, the Parkview Magnet High School Patriots, and the secondary home stadium for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks. The USL League Two affiliated Little Rock Rangers hold both home games and youth academies at the stadium. The Arkansas Activities Association high school football championship games for all classifications are held at the stadium annually. History War Memorial Stadium was designed by architect Bruce R. 1991 Arkansas Razorbacks Football Team
The 1991 Arkansas Razorbacks football team represented the University of Arkansas during the 1991 NCAA Division I-A football season. Jack Crowe's team improved from a 3–8 record in 1990 to become bowl eligible again in 1991. Punter Pete Raether finished third in the nation in punting average, with 43.6 yards per boot. On the other side of the ball, punt returner Michael James averaged 14.3 yards per return, seventh in the nation. This season ended Arkansas' tenure in the Southwest Conference. The SWC had every team except Arkansas, Rice, and Baylor hit with sanctions or recruiting scandals in the 1980s (including SMU's " Death penalty" in 1987).
