1991 FIBA Under-19 World Championship
The 1991 FIBA Under-19 World Championship (French: Championnat du monde des moins de 19 ans 1991 de la FIBA) was the 4th edition of the FIBA U19 World Championship. It was held in Edmonton, Canada from 26 July to 4 August 1991. The United States won their third championship in the tournament, after beating Italy in overtime 90–85 in the final. Dejan Bodiroga of Yugoslavia was named the tournament MVP, despite their team losing the bronze medal game against Argentina. Dejan Bodiroga
Dejan Bodiroga ( sr-Cyrl, Дејан Бодирога; born 2 March 1973) is a Serbian basketball executive and former professional player who is the Chairman of the Euroleague Basketball. During his playing career, he mainly played at the small forward position, but he could also play point forward, and both guard positions. A EuroLeague icon of the early part of the 2000s, Bodiroga was named to the 50 Greatest EuroLeague Contributors, EuroLeague 2000–10 All-Decade Team and was voted by fans the EuroLeague's 2000–2010 Player of the Decade. At club level, Bodiroga proved himself to be a symbol of basketball excellence, by lifting consecutive EuroLeague trophies, with Panathinaikos and FC Barcelona, as he earned the EuroLeague Final Four MVP award both times. He also won the three major European basketball league titles: Spanish, Italian and Greek. Jorge Racca
Jorge Oscar Racca (born September 4, 1971 in General Pico, La Pampa, Argentina) is an Argentine-Italian retired male professional basketball player. At 6'6" (1.98 m) and 218 lbs. (99 kg), he played at the shooting guard and small forward positions. Nicknamed "Pampa" during his career, Racca was a member of Argentina's national basketball team at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Professional career Racca was named the MVP of the Argentine League Finals in 1996, and the season's league MVP of the Argentine League in 1996, and 1997, while he was playing with Olimpia de Venado Tuerto. Gheorghe Dumitru Mureșan (; born 14 February 1971), also known as "Ghiță" (), is a Romanian former professional basketball player. Emmen, Netherlands
Emmen () is a municipality and town of the province of Drenthe in the northeastern Netherlands. History A planned city, Emmen arose from several small farming and peat-harvesting communities which have dotted the province of Drenthe since the Middle Ages.
