Mark Mitchell (American Figure Skater)
Mark Mitchell (born May 2, 1968) is an American retired competitive figure skater. He is a three-time medalist at the United States Figure Skating Championships and placed as high as fourth at the World Figure Skating Championships (in 1993). He currently works as a coach and choreographer in Boston with Peter Johansson. Biography Skating career Mitchell was the 1986 U.S. Junior National Champion. He won the bronze medal at the 1990 United States Figure Skating Championships, but was not named to the World team, despite the U.S. having three spots to that competition. Instead, a medical bye was given to Christopher Bowman who withdrew from the competition with a back injury. Mitchell finished 4th at the 1991 United States Figure Skating Championships, again just missing a spot on the World team. Marina Kielmann (born 31 January 1968) is a German former competitive figure skater. She is a four-time European Championship medallist (silver in 1992, bronze in 1990, 1991, and 1993), the 1994 Nations Cup champion and a three-time German national champion (1991–93). Surya Varuna Claudine Bonaly (born 15 December 1973) is a French-born retired competitive figure skater. She is a three-time World silver medalist (1993–1995), a five-time European champion (1991–1995), the 1991 World Junior Champion, and a nine-time French national champion (1989–1997). Nancy Ann Kerrigan (born October 13, 1969) is an American figure skating, figure skater and actress. is a Japanese former figure skater who is now a figure skating commentator. She is the 1993 Winter Universiade champion and a two-time World Junior silver medalist (1988–89). Jill Trenary
Jill Ann Trenary (born August 1, 1968) is an American former figure skater. She is the 1990 World champion and a three-time U.S. national champion. She was inducted to the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2002. Career Originally from Minnetonka, Minnesota, at the age of 16, she relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado to train with noted coach Carlo Fassi. Trenary won the U.S. junior title in 1985. During a warm-up in 1985, she collided with another skater, whose blade sliced Trenary's calf muscles and severed an artery in her left leg. Trenary placed 5th in her first senior national championships in 1986. Later that summer she won the U.S. Olympic Festival.
