The 1989 Albanian Supercup is the first edition of the Albanian Supercup since its establishment in 1989. Albanian Supercup
The Albanian Supercup is a single match usually at the beginning of the season between the winners of the Kategoria Superiore and Albanian Cup. Supercup final was not played in the occasions when the champion team won the Double (association football), Double. However, after year 2000 Albanian Football Association, AFA rules changed and the final would still be played against the Albanian Cup, Cup runner-ups. There have been 29 finals played in total. KF Tirana are the most successful team to have won the trophy 12 times. Futboll Club Dinamo Tirana is an Albanian professional football club based in the country's capital Tirana. They play in the Kategoria e Parë, the second tier of Albanian football, in the 2022–23 season. KF Tirana
Klubi i Futbollit Tirana (KF Tirana) is an Albanian football club based in the country's capital city, Tirana. The men's football club is part of the multi-disciplinary sports club SK Tirana, and is the most successful in Albania, having won 54 recognized major domestic trophies. They play their home games at the Selman Stërmasi Stadium in Tirana and they play in the Kategoria Superiore. Qemal Stafa Stadium
The Qemal Stafa Stadium ( sq, Stadiumi Qemal Stafa), named after Qemal Stafa (1920–1942), a Albanian Resistance of World War II, World War II hero, was a national stadium and the largest football (soccer), football stadium in Tirana, Albania. Construction started in 1939 and the stadium was inaugurated in 1946 for the Balkan Cup 1946, Balkan Cup, which was won by the Albania national football team. The stadium has been used for football matches of the Albanian Superliga and the national team, athletics (sport), athletic events, and the six Spartakiad (Albania), Albanian Spartakiads. Although it was enlarged in 1974 to accommodate up to 35,000 spectators, in the 1990s it became an all-seater stadium, and its capacity was reduced to 19,700. Tirana
Tirana ( , ; aln, Tirona) is the capital and largest city of Albania. 1990 Albanian Supercup
The 1990 Albanian Supercup was the second edition of the Albanian Supercup, an annual Albanian football match. The match was contested by Dinamo Tirana, champions of the 1989–90 Albanian Superliga and 1989–90 Albanian Cup, and Flamurtari Vlorë, which was the runner-up in cup. It was held at the Qemal Stafa Stadium on 11 January 1991. The regular and extra-time finished in a 3–3 draw, with Flamurtari's Sokol Kushta notably scoring a hat-trick. 1988–89 Albanian Cup
1988–89 Albanian Cup () was the thirty-seventh season of Albania's annual cup competition. It began in August 1988 with the First Round and ended in May 1989 with the Final match. The winners of the competition qualified for the 1989-90 first round of the UEFA Cup. Flamurtari were the defending champions, having won their second Albanian Cup last season. The cup was won by Dinamo Tirana. The first round was played in a single round-robin matches within 4 qualifying groups. The other rounds were played in a two-legged format similar to those of European competitions. If the aggregated score was tied after both games, the team with the higher number of away goals advanced. If the number of away goals was equal in both games, the match was decided by extra time and a penalty shootout, if necessary. Edmond Abazi (born 29 January 1968) is an Albanian retired international footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Club career Abazi was born in Tirana. Sulejman Demollari
Sulejman Demollari (born 15 May 1964 in Tirana) also known as Sul Demollari is an Albanian former football player and coach. Playing career Early life Demollari was born in Albania's capital Tirana, where he was raised as a child and where he completed his primary education. He studied at the Qemal Stafa High School, in Tirana, Albania. From a young age he was part of 'KF Vojo Kushi', which was a sports institution. Despite still being in school, Demollari had impressed many football specialists and was quickly picked to play for Dinamo Tirana's youth team where he managed to become one of the best players on the team. At the age of just 15 he was called up to play for Dinamo's senior team, alongside fellow midfield legends such as Ilir Përnaska, Shyqyri Ballgjini and Muhedin Targaj.
