French Television
Television in France was introduced in 1931, Timeline of the introduction of television in countries, when the first experimental broadcasts began. Colour television was introduced in October 1967 on France 2, La Deuxième Chaîne. Digital terrestrial television The digital terrestrial television platform was launched on 31 March 2005 after a short testing period. Like Freeview (UK), Freeview in the UK, it provides many new channels, as well as the current terrestrial television stations. Like the rest of Europe, France uses the DVB-T transmission technology. The 13 first digital free channels were launched on 31 March 2005. In October, 4 additional free channels were added: the 24h news channels BFM TV and I-Télé, the music and entertainment youth channel Europe 2 TV, and the free children channel Gulli, joint-venture between Lagardère Active and France Télévisions. Caroline Receveur Philip (born 10 November 1987) is a French fashion blogger, television presenter and actress. She first appeared as a contestant in reality programs and continues to appear in television programs and her fashion blog, as well as post on social media. Education and early career Caroline Receveur was born in Épinal in the department of Vosges. She is the second child of Jacky Receveur, a former soccer player of the FC Metz in the 1970s. 30 millions d'amis (English: "30 million friends") is a French television program, a French monthly magazine with its posters, and a French foundation: the Fondation 30 Millions d'Amis. All three focus on pets, especially cats, dogs, horses, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, mice, canaries, parakeets, parrots, terrarium reptiles, goldfish, aquarium fish, and other exotic pets, but also wild animals like for example, bonobos and cheetahs. Television program The first episode of the program, initiative of the French journalist Jean-Pierre Hutin, who was worried about the fate of pets, was broadcast on 6 January 1976 on TF1. It is one of the television programs that has the fifth-longest longevity of the French audiovisual field, after ''Des chiffres et des lettres'', ''Automoto'', ''Thalassa'' and ''Stade 2''. Christine Minier (born 1964 in Saint-Raphaël, Var) is a French singer. In 1987 whilst working as a hairdresser, Christine Minier won the French National Final to represent France at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest with the song " Les mots d'amour n'ont pas de dimanche". She received 44 points, placing France in 14th place. ''Présence protestante'' is a France 2 religious programme that presents Protestant Christianity. It has been produced since the 1950s broadcast every Sunday morning since October 9, 1955. History Présence protestante debuted on October 2, 1955 which was presented by Marcel Gosselin, under the leadership of Marc Boegner who was the president of the Protestant Federation of France. It was broadcast RTF, it was originally titled Émission protestante, then it renamed the Présence protestante based on a similar french-speaking Swiss program. The show was presented by Marcel Gosselin until being replaced by Jean Doman in 1980. Présence protestante deals with theology on French television from a Protestant perspective.
