1985 Torneo Descentralizado
The 1985 Torneo Descentralizado, the top category of Peruvian football, was played by 30 teams. The national champion was Universitario. Format The national championship was divided into two tournaments; the Torneo Regional and Torneo Descentralizado. The winners of each tournament faced off in the season final and received the berths for the 1986 Copa Libertadores. The Torneo Regional divided the teams into four groups; Metropolitan, North, Central, and South. Each group had its teams advance to the Liguilla Regional, the Torneo Descentralizado and the División Intermedia. The Liguilla Regional determined the Regional champion which advanced to the Descentralizado with a bonus point. The Descentralizado, consisting of 16 teams from the Torneo Regional, had each team play the others twice (a double round robin system) for a total of 30 games. Alianza Lima
Club Alianza Lima, popularly known as Alianza Lima or simply Alianza, is a Peruvian professional sports club based in La Victoria District of Lima, Peru. It is widely known for having one of the most historical and successful football teams in Peru; they have won a total of twenty-five league titles of the Peruvian Primera División and are currently the oldest team playing in that competition, since the club was founded in 1901. Foot Ball Club Melgar, known simply as FBC Melgar or Melgar, is a Peruvian Association football, football club based in Arequipa, Peru. It is one of Peru's oldest football teams, founded on 25 March 1915 by a group of football enthusiasts from Arequipa. Juventud La Joya is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Chancay District, Huaral, Lima, Peru. History The club was founded on the Chancay District, Huaral, Lima. Coronel Bolognesi Fútbol Club is a Peruvian football club located in the city of Tacna. Originally founded on 18 October 1929, It was named after Francisco Bolognesi. Years later, a second branch of the club called Club Sport Bolito, was founded on 27 May 1998. The club quickly surpassed its older counterpart's achievements and, following its success in 2001 Copa Perú, the president's club Elena Martorell (Fernando Martorell's sister, then president of CD Coronel Bolognesi), decided to change the club's name to Coronel Bolognesi Fútbol Club, in order to further identify both clubs's identities and share their successes.
