Jõhvi Estonia Kaevandus
Jõhvi is a town in northeastern Estonia, and the administrative centre of the Ida-Viru County. The town is also an administrative centre of Jõhvi Parish. It is situated about 50 km west of the Estonia–Russia international border. History Jõhvi was first mentioned as a village in 1241 in Liber Census Daniae when it was ruled by Denmark. Historical names of Jõhvi were ''Gewi'' and ''Jewe''. In the 13th century a church was built there and Jõhvi became the centre of the local church parish. On 1 May 1938, the government of Estonia upgraded the official status of Jõhvi from "borough" to that of an independent "town". The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. History This enterprise, according to its founders, was created in January 1994 by three regulars of the Rec.Sport.Soccer (RSS) Usenet newsgroup: Lars Aarhus, Kent Hedlundh, and Karel Stokkermans. It was originally known as the "North European Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation", but the geographical reference was dropped as its membership from other regions grew. Kiviõli (russian: Кивиыли) is an industrial town in Ida-Viru County, Estonia. The settlement was founded in 1922 and became a town in 1946. The main industry is oil shale mining, which gives the town its name (literally "stone oil"). In 2000, 51% of inhabitants were ethnic Russians and 39% were Estonians. Neighborhoods of Kiviõli Included in the town limits, but somewhat separate from the main part of the town, are the districts of Küttejõu and Varinurme. JK Narva Trans, commonly known as Narva Trans or just Trans, are a professional Estonian association football club based in Narva that compete in the Meistriliiga, the top flight of Estonian football. The club's home ground is Narva Kreenholm Stadium. The club were founded as Avtomobilist in 1979, changed their name to Autobaas in 1989 and Narva Trans in 1992. JK Sillamäe Kalev, commonly known as Sillamäe Kalev, or simply as Sillamäe, is a football club, based in Sillamäe, Estonia. Founded in 1957, Sillamäe Kalev was one of the founding members of the Meistriliiga. The club competed in the Meistriliiga, the top flight of Estonian football in 2017, but was declared bankrupt in March 2018. Its football academy continued and took over the name, continuing in the II liiga, 4th level in the Estonian football league system. Norma Tallinn is a now defunct Estonian football club. Norma Tallinn became the first Estonian champions after the Soviet Union collapse, they went on to defend their title next year, in 1993. Norma also won the Estonian Cup in 1994. The club was relegated to the second division in 1995 and to the third the following year. Norma Tallinn were dissolved after the 1996/1997 season. History Founded in 1959, Norma Tallinn was one of the biggest football clubs in Estonian SSR. The club participated in 32 Estonian SSR championships (more than any other team), winning the title on five occasions, as well as winning six Estonian SSR Cup titles.
