Pedro Pedrossian
Pedro Pedrossian (13 August 1928 – 22 August 2017) was a Brazilian politician. A member of the Party of National Mobilization, he served two terms as the List of Governors of Mato Grosso do Sul, Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul. The first term (1980–83) was an appointed role, before being elected to office in 1991. His term ended in 1994. He also served as the Governor of Mato Grosso between 1966 and 1971. He was born in Miranda, Mato Grosso do Sul, Miranda, Mato Grosso do Sul. A civil engineer by profession, he graduated from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, São Paulo. Pedrossian died on 22 August 2017 in Campo Grande, at the age of 89. Frederico Campos
Frederico Carlos Soares Campos (11 April 1927 – 1 March 2021) was a Brazilian politician who twice served as mayor of his hometown, Cuiabá, and also served as the 45th governor of Mato Grosso. Biography Campos was the nephew of General Dilermando Gomes Monteiro. He was appointed Mayor of Cuiabá by Mato Grosso governor Pedro Pedrossian, serving from 1966 to 1969. He worked in the government of Governor from 1975 to 1978. That year, President Ernesto Geisel appointed him Governor of Mato Grosso, the 45th person to hold the position. In 1988, Campos won his first election to become Mayor of Cuiabá as a member of the Liberal Front Party, having held the seat 20 years earlier. In 2006, he ran unsuccessfully as a member of the Brazilian Labour Party to the Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso. Iris Rezende Machado (22 December 1933 – 9 November 2021) was a Brazilian politician who was a member of the Brazilian Democratic Movement (MDB). Biography Rezende made his career in the state of Goiás, being City Councillor and Mayor of Goiânia, State Deputy in Goiás, State Governor for two terms, Minister of Agriculture during José Sarney government, and Minister of Justice in the government of Fernando Henrique Cardoso. He was married to Homonymous Íris Araújo. City Councillor in 1958, State Deputy in 1962, and Mayor of Goiânia in 1965, Rezende was removed from office by the military regime in 1969. He was elected Governor of Goiás in 1982, but resigned after his nomination for the Ministry of Agriculture by president Sarney.
