1982–83 FIBA European Champions Cup
The 1982–83 FIBA European Champions Cup was the 26th season of the European top-tier level professional basketball club competition FIBA European Champions Cup (now called EuroLeague). The Final was held at the Palais des Sports, in Grenoble, France, on March 24, 1983. Ford Cantù won their second title in a row, defeating another Italian club, Billy Milano, by a result of 69–68. In this season, FIBA reintroduced the preliminary knock-out rounds, which were abandoned after the 1975–76 season. Competition system * Twenty-four teams (European national domestic league champions, plus the then current title holders), playing in a tournament system, played knock-out rounds on a home and away basis. The aggregate score of both games decided the winner. * The six remaining teams after the knock-out rounds entered a Semifinal Group Stage, which was played as a round-robin. Panathinaikos Football Club B, known as Panathinaikos B, (Greek: ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός B) is a Greek football club based in Athens, Greece. Founded in 2021, they play as the reserve team of Panathinaikos in the Super League Greece 2. Panathinaikos B is one of four reserve teams givens approval from the EPO ( Hellenic Football Association) to play in the second division. Reserve teams must play a league below their main side, therefore, Panathinaikos B are ineligible for promotion to the Super League Greece. They cannot play in the Greek Cup either. Basketballklubben BMS, referred to as BMS, is a professional basketball club based in Ballerup–Måløv–Skovlunde, Denmark. BMS plays its home games at Rosenlundskolen in Skovlunde, in Ballerup Super Arena or in Højager Hall in Ballerup. BMS has on several occasions worked with neighboring club Herlev Basketball Club. Turun NMKY ( YMCA Turku) is a Finnish professional basketball club, based in Turku. The club plays in men's I-B-division. History Turun NMKY was founded in 1920. The team has played in a total of 32 through the top league level championships. NMKY has won the championship in Finland and the Finnish Cup, both four times. In the 1996-2000 period the club was also known as ''Piiloset''. In 2000, the Turun NMKY dropped on SM-series due to non-performing debt.
