1980 Taça De Portugal Final
The 1980 Taça de Portugal Final was the final match of the 1979–80 Taça de Portugal, the 40th season of the Taça de Portugal, the premier Portuguese football cup competition organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). The match was played on 7 June 1980 at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, and opposed two Primeira Liga sides: Benfica and Porto. Benfica defeated Porto 1–0 to claim the Taça de Portugal for a sixteenth time. In Portugal, the final was televised live on RTP. The Estádio Nacional (English: National Stadium), also known as National Stadium Sports Complex ( pt, Complexo Desportivo do Estádio Nacional) and as ''Jamor Sports Complex'' ( pt, Complexo Desportivo do Jamor), is a national football stadium used by the Portugal national team and by Belenenses SAD since 2018. António José Bastos Lopes (born 19 December 1953) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Born in Lisbon, Bastos Lopes played for 15 seasons with hometown side S.L. Benfica, making his first-team debut in 1972. After only seven Primeira Liga games in his first three years combined, he benefitted from the departure of legendary Humberto Coelho – who barred him at the stopper position – to Paris Saint-Germain F.C. to begin appearing more regularly. António Lima Pereira
António José Lima Pereira (1 February 1952 – 22 January 2022) was a Portuguese footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Born in Póvoa de Varzim, Lima Pereira started playing professionally for hometown club Varzim, making his Primeira Liga debut in the 1976–77 season at the age of 24. Two years later he signed with Porto, where he would remain for the following 11 campaigns. Lima Pereira appeared in 265 competitive games during his spell at the Estádio das Antas, winning four national championships, two domestic cups and four Supercups. Shéu Han (born 3 August 1953), simply known as Shéu (), is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a central midfielder. He only played for Benfica during a 17-year professional career.
