The League of Ireland ( ga, Sraith na hÉireann), together with the Football Association of Ireland, is one of the two main governing bodies responsible for organising association football in the Republic of Ireland. The term was originally used to refer to a single division league. However today the League of Ireland features five divisions – the Premier Division, the First Division, U19 Division, U17 Division, U15 Division and starting U13 Division. The League of Ireland has always worked closely with the FAI and in 2006 the two bodies formally merged. All the divisions are currently sponsored by Airtricity and as a result the league is also known as the SSE Airtricity League. He holds the record for the highest number of goals, 235, scored by an individual in the League of Ireland with a club record 181 for Finn Harps Career Derry City A talented youngster, appearing in the Derry and District League at the age of 15, Bradley signed for Derry City at the age of sixteen. Cathal Muckian (born 30 November 1951 in Dundalk), a native of Dundalk, County Louth; had a career in League of Ireland football during the 1970s and early 80s. Muckian played for five clubs, notably Drogheda United and Dundalk FC. Martin Donnelly (born 4 January 1951) is a Northern Irish former football defender who played professionally in the North American Soccer League and Major Indoor Soccer League. Career Donnelly played in the North American Soccer League for the San Diego Sockers between 1979 and 1983, making 116 outdoor appearances. During his time with the Sockers, he also played three indoor seasons, two in the NASL and one, the 1982-1983 season, in the Major Indoor Soccer League. The Sockers won the MISL title that season. Paul Gerard McGee (born 19 June 1954) is an Irish former footballer who played as a forward. McGee was born in Sligo, and started his career with Sligo Rovers, making his debut at 15 years of age on 15 November 1970. While at Finn Harps he won the FAI Cup in 1974. He then rejoined his home town club Sligo Rovers winning the League of Ireland championship in 1977. After the league success he was purchased by Queens Park Rangers in November 1977. In his Ireland career, he scored 4 goals in 15 matches and also won 10 youth caps and 2 U21 caps.
