1974 African Women's Handball Championship
The 1974 African Women's Handball Championship was the first edition of the African Women's Handball Championship, held in Tunisia. It acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 1975 World Women's Handball Championship. History The Egyptian team was scheduled to play the final match against Tunisia, but Egypt withdrew because the Egyptian men's team was subjected to arbitrary injustice in the final match against Tunisia and the Tunisian public threatened them with death. The African Handball Nations Championship is the official competition for senior national handball teams of Africa, and takes place every two years. In addition to crowning the African champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Summer Olympics and For World Handball Championship. Egypt Men's National Handball Team
The Egyptian national handball team is the national handball team of Egypt and is controlled by the Egyptian Handball Federation. Egypt is one of the finest handball teams from Africa along with Tunisia and Algeria. Egypt has had two golden generations, one from 1991-2001 and a present one starting from 2019. The first generation was the first non-European team to reach the semifinals in the World Championships. While the current generation became the first African team to reach the semifinals in the Olympic tournament. History Egypt's first appearance at the IHF World Championship was in 1964, where they failed to win a single game.
