Algerian Championnat National
The Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 ( ar, الرابطة الجزائرية المحترفة الأولى لكرة القدم); known as Championnat National de Première Division or Ligue 1 for short, and formerly known as the Championnat National 1, is the Algerian professional league for association football clubs. It is the country's primary football competition and serves as the top division of the Algerian football league system. Ligue 1 is one of two divisions making up the Ligue de Football Professionnel, the other being Ligue Professionnelle 2. The league is contested by 16 clubs, and it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Ligue 2. Mouloudia Club d'Alger ( ar, نادي مولودية الجزائر), referred to as MC Alger or MCA for short, is an Algerian football club based in Algiers. Abderrahmane Meziani (12 May 1942 – 2 June 2016) was a professional Algerian Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), forward. Life and career Born in Algiers on 12 May 1942, Abderrahmane Meziani began his career at MC Alger in 1955 in the Weight class, minimal category, he then passed through ASPTT Algiers before landing at the AS Saint-Eugène, Algiers flagship club during the colonial era. After the Algerian War, independence of Algeria in 1962, then aged 20, Meziani signed to USM Alger to spend the rest of his career there. On 6 January 1963, he was selected for the first time in Algeria national football team, Team Algeria for a friendly match against the Bulgaria national football team, Bulgaria. Kamel Tchalabi (1 April 1947 – 3 May 2021) was an Algerian footballer who played as a right winger. Life and career On June 25, 1972, in the Algerian Cup final against Hamra Annaba, Tchalabi was forced to play the military final which he played before the final, and Tchalabi promised to play one half Where did he score a goal, and after seeing that he would play the whole match, Tchalabi decided to complete the match on walk, and after the end of it he went to wear the USM Alger dress, but he was told that he was prohibited from playing the match, which affected himself.
