The Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 (), known as Championnat National de Première Division or Ligue 1 for short, and formerly known as the Championnat National 1, is the Algerian professional league for association football clubs. It is the country's primary football competition and serves as the top division of the Algerian football league system. Mouloudia Club d'Alger (), referred to as MC Alger or MCA for short, is an Algerian football club based in Algiers. The club was founded in 1921 and its colours are red, green and white. Abderrahmane Meziani
Abderrahmane Meziani (12 May 1942 – 2 June 2016) was a professional Algerian footballer who played as a forward. Life and career Born in Algiers on 12 May 1942, Abderrahmane Meziani began his career at MC Alger in 1955 in the minimal category, he then passed through ASPTT Algiers before landing at the AS Saint-Eugène, Algiers flagship club during the colonial era. After the independence of Algeria in 1962, then aged 20, Meziani signed to USM Alger to spend the rest of his career there. On 6 January 1963, he was selected for the first time in Team Algeria for a friendly match against the Bulgaria. He scored a goal in the 80th minute and allowed his team to emerge victorious from his first official meeting. On 1 May 2006 Meziani suffered a cardiovascular event. Hacène Lalmas (12 March 1943 – 7 July 2018), also known as El Kebch (The Ram), was an Algerian footballer who played as a midfielder. Lalmas scored a record 131 goals in the Algerian championship. He was also voted as the 14th-best African player of all time by the CAF. Kamel Tchalabi
Kamel Tchalabi (1 April 1947 – 3 May 2021) was an Algerian footballer who played as a right winger. Life and career On June 25, 1972, in the Algerian Cup final against Hamra Annaba, Tchalabi was forced to play the military final which he played before the final, and Tchalabi promised to play one half Where did he score a goal, and after seeing that he would play the whole match, Tchalabi decided to complete the match on walk, and after the end of it he went to wear the USM Alger dress, but he was told that he was prohibited from playing the match, which affected himself.
