1968 Cup Of The Alps
1968 Coppa delle Alpi shows the results of the 1968 tournament that was held mainly in Switzerland in the preseason 1968/69. The Coppa delle Alpi, Coppa delle Alpi (translated as ''Cup of the Alps'') was a Association football, football tournament, jointly organized by the Italian national league and the Swiss League as a pre-season event. Most of the games in the 1968 competition were played in Switzerland. There were four teams taking part from Italy A.S. Roma, ACF Fiorentina, Cagliari Calcio, Cagliari and Juventus F.C., Juventus, four from Germany 1. FC Kaiserslautern, 1. FC Köln, Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Schalke 04 as well as four from Switzerland FC Luzern, Luzern, Servette FC, Servette FC Genève, BSC Young Boys, Young Boys and FC Basel. Paul Fischli (born 6 May 1945) is a Switzerland, Swiss former football (soccer), football player and Head coach, manager. He played as a Defender (football), defender throughout the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s. Career As a sixteen-year-old, Paul Fischli played his debut in the FC Glarus first team in the third amateur division. The team were promoted to the 2. Liga (Switzerland), 2. Liga at the end of the season. Fischli started playing semi-professionally in 1965 with FC Young Fellows Zürich in the Nationalliga B (later renamed Swiss Challenge League, Challenge League). Young Fellows were promoted at the end of the season to the Nationalliga A (later renamed Swiss Super League). Fischli played for Young Fellows for three years, but the team was relegated at the end of the 1967–68 in Swiss football, 1967–68 season and the club sold the entire team. Lothar Schämer
Lothar Schämer (28 April 1940 – 27 December 2017) was a German professional footballer who played as a defender. Schämer played his entire professional career at Eintracht Frankfurt. In the 1963–64 season, he was part of the Frankfurt squad that debuted in the new founded Bundesliga scoring the first goal with a penalty against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Finally, Schämer appeared in 216 Bundesliga fixtures netting 24 goals. His last match for Eintracht was on the 34th of the 1972–73 season against MSV Duisburg. Wolfgang Solz (12 February 1940 – 24 March 2017) was a German professional footballer who played as a winger. Club career Eintracht Frankfurt The youth internationalist moved from Union Niederrad to Eintracht Frankfurt in 1958. The first season he had to spend in the youth team due to transfer regulations. From the 1959–60 campaign on, Solz was an Oberliga team member. On 6 December 1959, he debuted as left winger against SSV Reutlingen. Pierluigi Cera (; born 25 February 1941) is a former Italian footballer who played as a midfielder or as a defender, most notably for Cagliari, and the Italy national football team.
