1966–67 In Belgian Football
The 1966–67 season was the 64th season of competitive football in Belgium. RSC Anderlechtois won their 13th and 4th consecutive Division I title. They also entered the 1966–67 European Champion Clubs' Cup as Belgian title holder. Standard Liège entered the 1966–67 European Cup Winners' Cup as the Cup holder and reacher the semifinals. RFC Liégeois, ARA La Gantoise and R Antwerp FC all played the 1966–67 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. Standard Liège won the Belgian Cup final against RFC Malinois (3-1 after extra time). Wilfried Puis
Wilfried Puis (18 February 1943 in Ostend – 21 October 1981) was an Belgian football player. He played for R.S.C. Anderlecht and the Belgium national football team. Puis was praised for his speed, agility and goal kicks which made him and Paul Van Himst a perfect match. A year after he ended his football career, he died of stomach cancer at the age of 38. Club career While playing for Anderlecht, he won the Belgian Golden Shoe in 1964. In November 1971, Puis moved to rival Club Brugge. After one season, he was transferred to Lokeren. International career Puis was in the Belgium-Netherlands match in 1964 with 10 teammates from Anderlecht after the substitution of goalkeeper Delhasse by Jean-Marie Trappeniers. In total, he played 49 times for the national team between 1962 and 1975, starting in the second half of a 1–3 friendly defeat to Italy on 13 May 1962. Jacques ("Jacky") Stockman (8 October 1938 – 4 May 2013) was a Belgian football player. He played most of his career for R.S.C. Anderlecht and was selected 32 times for Belgium. He played in the Belgium-Netherlands match in 1964 with 10 fellows from the Anderlecht team after the substitution of goalkeeper Guy Delhasse by Jean-Marie Trappeniers. Stockman was nicknamed Zorro after he scored a late goal with Anderlecht against Bologna FC in the second leg of the 1964–65 European Cup first round, enforcing a replay at the Camp Nou.
