1963 CONCACAF Championship
The 1963 CONCACAF Championship was the first edition of the CONCACAF Championship, the football championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). The tournament was held between 23 March to 7 April. Nine teams participated in the inaugural event. The tournament was hosted by El Salvador in the cities of San Salvador and Santa Ana. The nine teams were broken up into one group of five and one group of four; the top two teams of each group would advance to a final group stage, playing in round-robin format to determine the winner. The tournament was won by Costa Rica, who defeated the hosts El Salvador 1–4 in the deciding match of the four-team final group. The Salvadoran Football Federation ( es, Federación Salvadoreña de Fútbol or ) is the official governing football organization in El Salvador and is in charge of the El Salvador national football team, and El Salvador national beach soccer team The federation is also in charge of the three tiers of domestic club competition, including the top-flight Primera División de Fútbol Profesional. Rodolfo Armando Ruiz II (born 1979) is a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and former Florida state court judge. Education and career Ruiz received a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2005 from the Georgetown University Law Center. He began his legal career as a law clerk to Judge Federico A. Moreno of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
