	Arthur MacDonald (politician) General Sir Arthur Leslie MacDonald, (30 January 1919 – 20 January 1995) was a senior officer in the Australian Army, who served in the positions of Chief of the General Staff from 1975 to 1977, then Chief of the Defence Force Staff from 1977 to 1979; the professional head of the Australian Army and Australian Defence Force respectively. 	Lorne Bonnell Mark Lorne Bonnell (January 4, 1923 – October 9, 2006) was a Canadian physician, provincial politician and senator. Born in Hopefield, Prince Edward Island, the son of Lottie and Harry Bonnell, he received his Doctor of Medicine from Dalhousie University in 1949. He practiced medicine in Murray River. In 1951, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island representing the district of 4th Kings. A member of the Prince Edward Island Liberal Party, he was re-elected in 1955, 1959, 1962, 1966, and 1970. He was the Minister of Health, Minister of Welfare, Minister Tourist Development, and Minister Responsible for Housing. His grandfather, Mark Bonnell, was also a member of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island. 	Leo Rossiter Leo Francis Rossiter (January 15, 1923 – October 25, 1996) was a merchant, realtor and political figure on Prince Edward Island. He represented 2nd Kings in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1955 to 1981 as a Progressive Conservative. He was born in Morell, Prince Edward Island, the son of J. Edward Rossiter and Catherine Clarkin, and was educated at Saint Dunstan's University. Rossiter operated a general store and sold farm equipment. In 1946, he married Anna Pierce. He served in the province's Executive Council as Minister of Natural Resources, Minister of Fisheries, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Provincial Secretary. After retiring from politics, Rossiter served as chair of the Workman's Compensation Board. He also served as chair of the Morell Village Commission. 	Prince Edward Island Liberal Party The Prince Edward Island Liberal Party (officially the ''Prince Edward Island Liberal Association'') is a political party in the province of Prince Edward Island, Canada. The PEI Liberals are affiliated with the federal Liberal Party of Canada. History The party was created when PEI was a British colony by reformers who agitated for the system of responsible government. This was granted by the British crown to the colony in 1851. George Coles was its dominant figure in its first decades. While initially supportive of Canadian Confederation, Coles and the Liberals soured on the project, and it was not until 1873 that the island joined Canada as a means of relieving the PEI government's severe debts.
