1955 Bordeaux Grand Prix
The 1955 Bordeaux Grand Prix was a non-championship Formula One motor race held on 24 April 1955 on a street circuit centred around the Place des Quinconces in Bordeaux, France. The Grand Prix was won by Jean Behra, who also set pole position, driving a Maserati 250F. Luigi Musso finished second and Roberto Mieres third. Less than a minute separated the three drivers after nearly three hours of racing. Stirling Moss, who had lost time fixing a loose tank strap, set fastest lap during a spirited attempt to catch the leading trio. Bordeaux ( , ; Gascon oc, Bordèu ; eu, Bordele; it, Bordò; es, Burdeos) is a port city on the river Garonne in the Gironde department, Southwestern France. Ecurie Rosier
Ecurie Rosier and Equipe Rosier were names used by French racing driver Louis Rosier to enter his own cars in Formula One between 1950 and his death in 1956. Commonly the vehicles were entered for Rosier himself, but he also provided cars for a number of other drivers during the period. Between 1950 and 1957 Ecurie Rosier collected a total fifteen World Championship points and one podium finish. Formula One Louis Rosier began entering cars in Formula One under his own name in 1950, first with a Talbot-Lago T26C with some success, recording two points-scoring finishes from his nine World Championship entries in 1950 and 1951. He also entered cars for Henri Louveau and Louis Chiron during these seasons. The 1954 Bordeaux Grand Prix was a non-championship Formula One motor race held on 9 May 1954 on a street circuit centred around the Place des Quinconces in Bordeaux, Gironde, France. The Grand Prix was won by José Froilán González, driving with Ferrari. Gonzalez also set fastest lap. Ferrari drivers Robert Manzon and Maurice Trintignant finished second and third, with Trintignant starting from pole. 1955 BRDC International Trophy
The 7th BRDC International Trophy was a motor race, run to Formula One rules, held on 7 May 1955 at Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire. The race was run over 60 laps, and was won by British driver Peter Collins in a Maserati 250F. Collins also shared fastest lap with Maserati driver Roy Salvadori, who was on pole position for the start of the race. The 3rd Glover Trophy was a motor race, run to Formula One rules, held on 11 April 1955 at Goodwood Circuit, West Sussex. The race was run over 21 laps, and was won by British driver Roy Salvadori in a Maserati 250F. Salvadori also set fastest lap. Stirling Moss, also in a Maserati 250F, started from pole position.
