The 1954–55 Magyar Kupa (English: ''Hungarian Cup'') was the 23rd season of Hungary's annual knock-out cup football competition. Újpest FC
Újpest Football Club () is a Hungarian professional association football, football club, based in Újpest, Budapest, that competes in Nemzeti Bajnokság I. Formed in 1885, Újpest reached the first division of the Hungarian League in Nemzeti Bajnokság I 1905, 1905 and has been relegated only once since then. The club has been a member of the first division for 108 consecutive years. Újpest have been Hungarian champions twenty times, and have won the Magyar Kupa eleven times and the Szuperkupa three times. In international competitions Újpest are two-times winners of the Mitropa Cup and winners of the 1930 Coupe des Nations. Dezső Bundzsák
Dezső Bundzsák (3 May 1928 – 1 October 2010) was a Hungarian football player and coach. Bundzsák played as a striker or midfielder at both professional and international levels, before becoming a coach who worked throughout Europe and Africa. Career Playing career Born in Kiskunhalas, Bundzsák began his professional career in 1950 with Vasas SC. Bundzsák spent 14 seasons with the club, scoring 73 goals in 249 games. He represented Vasas at the 1957–58 European Cup. He also represented Hungary at international level, earning 25 caps between 1956 and 1961. He also played at the 1958 FIFA World Cup. Magyar Testgyakorlók Köre Budapest Futball Club or shortly MTK is a Hungarian football club based in Józsefváros, Budapest. The team currently plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II. FC Tatabánya is a Hungarian football club based in Tatabánya. They play their home games at Stadion Gyula Grosics. History The ''Tatabányai Sport Klub'' was founded on February 6, 1910 by Ferenc Frei, a mining engineer. At this time several Hungarian towns outside of Budapest had formed football clubs – Debrecen, Miskolc, Győr. The First World War weakened the team, but in the 1920s the team was still without a doubt the most popular in Tatabánya.
