1953–54 Cypriot Cup
The 1953–54 Cypriot Cup was the 17th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 18 clubs entered the competition. It began on 8 May 1954 with the first preliminary round and concluded on 27 June 1954 with the final which was held at GSP Stadium. Çetinkaya Türk S.K., Çetinkaya Türk won their 2nd Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Pezoporikos Larnaca FC, Pezoporikos 2–1 in the final. Format In the 1953–54 Cypriot Cup, participated the 9 teams of the 1953–54 Cypriot First Division, Cypriot First Division and the 9 teams of the 1953–54 Cypriot Second Division, Cypriot Second Division. The First Division teams and the two winners of each group of Second Division began from first round. The rest 5 teams of Second Division played three preliminary rounds and the winner participated to the first round. The Cypriot Cup () is the main cup competition in Cypriot football, run by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA). It began in 1934, the same season with the Cypriot Championship. It is the second most important competition for Cypriot club teams after Cypriot Championship. Only the Cypriot First Division and the second division teams are participating in the competition. GSP Stadium (1902)
The Pancyprian Gymnastic Association Stadium (GSP Stadium) ( el, Στάδιο Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος "Τα Παγκύπρια") was a football stadium in Nicosia, Cyprus. It had a capacity of 12,000 and was built in 1902 with donations given by Greek Cypriot Nicosians. On 17 October 1934, after a general assembly of the GSP association, the stadium was renamed "GSP Stadium, Eugenia and Antonios Theodotou" in honor of the stadium's major benefactors. The stadium served as the home stadium for the Nicosia football clubs of Trust, APOEL, Olympiakos Nicosia, Omonia, Orfeas Nicosia, AYMA and Çetinkaya Türk S.K. EPA Larnaca (, ''Enosis Pezoporikou Amol'') was a Cypriot football club based in the city of Larnaca. Founded in 1930 with the merge of two local clubs, Pezoporikos and AMOL, the club was a founding member of Cyprus Football Association and participated in the first Cypriot Championship in 1934/35.
