1952 Divizia B
The 1952 Divizia B was the 13th season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format with two series has been maintained, each of them having 12 teams. At the end of the season the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A and no team was relegated to District Championship, because the series would be expanded again from the next season. Also this was the third season played in the spring-autumn system, a system imposed by the new leadership of the country which were in close ties with the Soviet Union. Liga II
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. The teams placed from 7th to 12th will play a relegation play-off, where the last two teams are relegated to Liga III. Fotbal Club Progresul București, commonly known as Progresul București or simply as Progresul, was a Romanian Association football, football club based in Bucharest. Clubul Sportiv Viitorul Minerul Lupeni, commonly known as Minerul Lupeni, is a Romanian football club based in Lupeni, Hunedoara County which competes in Liga IV – Hunedoara County, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. Established in 1920 as ''Jiul Lupeni'', the club changed its name several times to ''Partizanul (1950), Flacăra (1951), Minerul (1953 and 1957) and Energia (1956)''. Ploiești ( , , ), formerly spelled Ploești, is a city and county seat in Prahova County, Romania. Part of the historical region of Muntenia, it is located north of Bucharest. The area of Ploiești is around , and it borders the Blejoi commune in the north, Bărcănești and Brazi communes in the south, Târgșoru Vechi commune in the west, and Bucov and Berceni communes in the east.
