The Strongest
Club The Strongest is a Bolivian professional football club based in La Paz, that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Founded in 1908, their team colours are yellow and black. Although they have a home ground, Estadio Rafael Mendoza, (capacity: 15,000), they play most of their games at the Estadio Hernando Siles, Bolivia's national ground (capacity: 42,000). The club is the oldest active football club in Bolivia and the only team to have played continuously in the country's top division for longer than a century. Club Mariscal Santa Cruz, was a Bolivian football club based in the city of La Paz, Bolivia, named in honour of Andrés de Santa Cruz, former President of Peru and Bolivia. It was founded in 1923 as ''Northern Football Club'', in 1966 the club changed its name, after it had been sold to the Bolivian Armed Forces due to financial difficulties. Mariscal Santa Cruz played in the ''Liga Paceña de Fútbol'' the semi-amateur football league of the Bolivian Capital from its formation in 1950 until 1976 when the club was dissolved. Mariscal Santa Cruz first and only appearance in an international Official CONMEBOL tournament was the Copa Ganadores de Copa 1970, played in La Paz, Bolivia. Estadio Hernando Siles is a multi-purpose stadium in La Paz, Bolivia. It is the country's largest stadium, with a capacity of 41,143 seats. It is named after Hernando Siles Reyes, the 31st President of Bolivia (1926–1930). The stadium is located in the Miraflores borough of La Paz, at an altitude of 3,637 metres (11,932 feet) above sea level, making it one of the highest professional stadiums in the world. Club Always Ready, better known as Always Ready, is a Bolivian football club from La Paz which plays its home games in nearby El Alto. Due to the jerseys the team is also known as ''Banda Roja'', or the red band. History Club Always Ready was founded on 13 April 1933. The team took part in the La Paz championship, which was held in 1950 under semi-professional conditions; it was organized by La Paz Football Association (LPFA). Despite not having any official status, the winner of the tournament was widely considered the ''de facto'' champion of Bolivia. Always Ready earned their first title in 1951. Club Bolívar () is a Bolivian professional football club that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Founded in 1925 in honor of Venezuelan military leader Simón Bolívar, it is the most successful and popular club in the history of Bolivian football, with 30 titles.
