1951 Cupa României
The 1951 Cupa României is the 14th edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by CCA București against Flacăra Mediaş. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. In the first round proper, two pots were made, first pot with Divizia A teams and other teams till 16 and the second pot with the rest of teams qualified in this phase. First pot teams will play away. Each tie is played as a single leg. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in extra time, and if the scored is still tight after 120 minutes, the team who plays away will qualify. In case the teams are from same city, there a replay will be played. In case the teams play in the final, there a replay will be played. FC Steaua București
FC Steaua București was a Romanian professional football club of which two current entities are claiming the records. The original ''FC Steaua București'' team was part of the namesake CSA Steaua București sports club and belonged to the Ministry of National Defence. In 1998, the club and facilities were separated from the sports club and taken over by a group of shareholders in a post-Ceaușescu privatisation scheme, allegedly leading to one of the shareholders (Gigi Becali) acquiring full ownership five years later. However, CSA Steaua București sued the football club in 2011, claiming that this was a new entity; the two have since been in a legal conflict regarding the ownership of the Steaua brand and honours, which resulted in multiple court cases and the forced change of the name of ''FC Steaua București'' to FCSB in early 2017. FCM Câmpina was a Romanian football team from Poiana Câmpina, Prahova County founded in 1936 and dissolved in 2008. History The team was founded under the name ''Astra Câmpina'', which was a local factory that was sponsoring the team. Later the team changed its name to ''Poiana Câmpina''. Even though the team is now called FCM Câmpina (Municipal Football Club Câmpina), most of its fans still call the team "Poiana" or "Poieniţa", a diminutive. Furthermore, FCM Câmpina used to be, for a couple of years, Dinamo Bucharest's second team, and was back then called Dinamo Poiana Câmpina. Asociația Clubul Sportiv Petrolul 52, commonly known as Petrolul Ploiești () or simply as Petrolul, is a Romanian professional football club based in Ploiești, Prahova County, which competes in the Liga I. Gloria CFR Galați was a football club based in Galaţi, Galați County, Romania. It was founded in 1932 and dissolved in 1970. History The club was founded in 1932 January 1, at the initiative of the railroad workers from Galați, after the merger of ''Șoimii Gloria'' (founded in 1927) with ''CFR''.
