1945 Norwegian Football Cup
The 1945 Norwegian Football Cup was the 40th season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. This was the first cup in five years, due to the Second World War. The tournament was open for all members of NFF, except those from Northern Norway. The final was contested by the defending champions Fredrikstad and the four-time former winners Lyn. It took two replays to decide a winner, and in the third final Lyn won 4–0 securing their fifth title and the first title in 34 years, having last won in 1911. Exhibition Game
An exhibition game (also known as a friendly, a scrimmage, a demonstration, a preseason game, a warmup match, or a preparation match, depending at least in part on the sport) is a sporting event whose prize money and impact on the player's or the team's rankings is either zero or otherwise greatly reduced. In team sports, matches of this type are often used to help coaches and managers select and condition players for the competitive matches of a league season or tournament. If the players usually play in different teams in other leagues, exhibition games offer an opportunity for the players to learn to work with each other. The games can be held between separate teams or between parts of the same team. Aker, Norway
Aker was a former independent municipality in Akershus, Norway, that constitutes the vast majority of the territory of the modern city of Oslo. The name originally belonged to a farm which was located near the current Old Aker Church. The church in turn became the source of the name of the parish and later municipality as well as Akershus Fortress, the main fief and main county of Akershus which included most of Eastern Norway until 1919, the smaller county of Akershus, and numerous institutions within this area. Aker municipality was in terms of population by far the largest municipality of Akershus county and surrounded the capital city of Christiania (renamed Oslo in 1925) until 1948; Aker was 27 times larger than the capital it surrounded. Viggo Jensen
Alexander Viggo Jensen (born 22 June 1874 in Copenhagen, Denmark; died 2 November 1930 in Copenhagen, Denmark) was a Danish weightlifter, sport shooter, gymnast, and athlete. He was the first Danish and Nordic Olympic champion, at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens. The first weightlifting event held was the two-handed lift, in a style now known as the clean and jerk. Jensen and Launceston Elliot of Great Britain and Ireland finished the competition tied at 111.5 kilograms, though the judges declared Jensen had performed the lift with better form and would be awarded first place. The British delegation protested, resulting in more attempts being given both lifters to improve their scores. Neither did and therefore Jensen retained first place, but he had injured his shoulder in the extra attempts. That injury hampered Jensen's efforts in the one-handed lift, the snatch. Helge Bronée
Helge Christian Bronée (28 March 1922 in Nybølle – 3 June 1999 in Dronningmølle) was a Danish footballer who played four games for the amateur Denmark national football team. He moved abroad in 1948 to play professionally for French club FC Nancy, as well as Italian clubs Palermo, AS Roma, Juventus, and Novara. Adverse to any form of discipline, he was known as the playboy of European football. Københavns Idrætspark, in daily use Idrætsparken, also known as Parken, was a multi-purpose stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was initially used as the stadium of Denmark national football team and Kjøbenhavns Boldklub. It was replaced by the Parken Stadium in 1992. The capacity of the stadium was 48,000 spectators. Kjell Moe
Kjell Moe (27 October 1909 – 8 December 1999) was a Norwegian footballer who played for Fredrikstad between 1938 and 1945. He won two Norwegian league titles and one Norwegian Cup. He was capped twice and scored one goal for Norway in 1945; aged 35 at the time he is the oldest player to make his debut for the Norwegian national team. Football career Moe was born in Fredrikstad, and played for Gresvik before he transferred to Fredrikstad FK in 1938. Bjørn Spydevold (8 September 1918 – 30 March 2002) was a Norwegian football player. He was born in Sarpsborg, and played for the sports club Fredrikstad FK.
