The 1937–38 Divizia B was the fourth season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained, but this time both series had 12 teams, instead of 13. Also it was decided to reduce Divizia A to a single series of 12 teams, so only the winners of the Divizia B series promoted. Liga II
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. The teams placed from 7th to 12th will play a relegation play-off, where the last two teams are relegated to Liga III. Dacia Vasile Alecsandri Galați
Dacia Vasile Alecsandri Galaţi (also Dacia VA Galaţi or DVA Galaţi) was a Romanian football club based in Galaţi, founded in 1922 and dissolved in 1950. This club advanced to the Romanian Football Championships three times and was a quarter-finalist in the Romanian Cup. History DVA Galati was founded in 1922 when two clubs, Soimii Dacia and Liceul Vasile Alecsandri, named after a Roman province and a poet, respectively merged. The club made its first appearance in the regionals in 1927 and qualified for the final round of the Romanian championship. They went on to lose to Colţea Braşov and, a year later, to Olympia Bucharest. However, in 1929, the team prevailed in the first round against Victoria Iaşi and advanced to the quarter-finals. Franco-Româna Brăila
Franco-Româna Brăila (AS Brăilița) is a football team from Brăila, Romania. History Their best performance was reaching the Quarter-finals in Cupa României in 1935–36 season when they lost with 6–4 against Unirea Tricolor București. Franco-Româna Brăila second team was founded in 1940 and was called AS Brăilița. Brăilița was also the neighbourhood and name of the stadium. The stadium was like a small English stadium looking same with the famous Highbury, but in a smaller size. Even they won twice Divizia B they never promoted in Divizia A, because they could not manage to win the Promotion play-off. Dragoş Vodă Cernăuţi (Chernivtsi) is a football club from Chernivtsi, Ukraine founded in 1909. During the club's history, it was founded in Austria-Hungarian Empire, then it was transferred to Romania and then to Ukraine, where it would eventually dissolve in 1946.
