1937 Copa Dos Campeões Estaduais
The 1937 Copa dos Campeões Estaduais was an official tournament organized by the now defunct Brazilian Football Federation (FBF), and aimed to point the Brazilian champion at that time. It was the second time a state champions cup happened in Brazil. The competition brought together the 1936 champions of the state leagues of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Campeonato Mineiro and Campeonato Capixaba, and was played in round-robin for points systems. The winning team was the Clube Atlético Mineiro. On 25 August 2023, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) officially recognized the tournament as analogous to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, thus conferring to Atlético Mineiro the status of first national champions of Brazil. Luiz Bazzoni (3 September 1914 – 3 September 2002), was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a forward. Nicolas Ladany (also ''Nicolau Ladanyi,'' born 7 April 1889- unknown) was a Hungarian association football coach. Most notable are his two Championships of Rio de Janeiro with Botafogo FC in 1930 and 1932. He later became an identity of the show business of Rio de Janeiro. Campos dos Goytacazes () is a municipality located in the northern region of Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, with a population of 471,737 inhabitants. Campeonato Fluminense
The Campeonato Fluminense was the football league of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, during the period when the Guanabara state and the Rio de Janeiro state where two separated states. Until 1960, Rio de Janeiro city was the Brazilian capital and was not part of Rio de Janeiro state. In 1960, with the inauguration of Brasília as the new capital of Brazil, the city of Rio de Janeiro became the new Guanabara state.
