The 1936–37 Divizia C was the first season of the third tier league of the Romanian football league system. The league was divided in five parallel divisions, based on geographical criteria. History Until 1932, Electrica played in the western regional tournament, one of the five, before the winners would go to play in a knock-out tournament in the fall. The Liga 3, most often spelled as Liga III, is the third level of the Romanian football league system. Its name was changed from Divizia C to Liga III before the start of the 2006–07 season. Clubul Sportiv Viitorul Minerul Lupeni, commonly known as Minerul Lupeni, is a Romanian football club based in Lupeni, Hunedoara County which competes in Liga IV – Hunedoara County, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. CFR Turnu Severin is a football club based in Turnu Severin (now Drobeta-Turnu Severin), Romania. It was founded in 1928 and it won one Romanian Cup in 1943. The club was dissolved in 1958. Fotbal Club Politehnica Timișoara (), commonly known as Politehnica Timișoara or simply Poli Timișoara, was a Romanian football club from Timișoara, Timiș County, established in 1921 and dissolved in 2012.
