Urlingford GAA
Urlingford () is a town, as well as a civil parish within the barony of Galmoy. It is located in the north west of County Kilkenny, along the boundary with County Tipperary, in Leinster, Ireland. Access The town lies on the R639. The M8 motorway runs just west of the town, from which both Urlingford and nearby Johnstown are accessed via junction four. Urlingford is a bus hub, with major operator JJ Kavanagh and Sons based there. Kilmacow GAA
Kilmacow GAA club is situated in the village of Kilmacow. The club has a hurling team which competes in the Junior Hurling Championship. They have won the Kilkenny Junior Hurling Championship once in 1956 when the club was known then as St.Senan's GAA. Kilmacow also have a Camogie club ranging from Under-8s to Juniors, they are amalgamated with Slieverue at Intermediate and Under-22 level and are named St.Claires Camogie club. In the early days of Kilkenny GAA, senior winning club teams represented the county team in the All-Ireland Senior Championships. In 1888, Kilmacow were the county champions and went on to represent Kilkenny in the All-Ireland championship 1888, they won the Leinster senior football championship beating Castlebridge of Wexford by 1-4 to 0-2 on the 23rd September 1888 in New Ross. Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate Hurling Championship and abbreviated to the Kilkenny IHC) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Kilkenny County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by intermediate clubs in the county of Kilkenny in Ireland. It is the second tier overall in the entire Kilkenny hurling championship system. The Kilkenny Intermediate Championship was introduced in 1929 as a competition that would bridge the gap between the senior grade and the junior grade. The championship was suspended for over 30 years until the 1970s when it was reinstated. In its current format, the Kilkenny Intermediate Championship begins in September with a first round series of games comprising eight teams, while the four remaining teams receive byes to the quarter-final stage. UPMC Nowlan Park (; ) is the principal Gaelic Athletic Association stadium in Kilkenny, Ireland. Named after James Nowlan (the longest serving President of the GAA), the stadium hosts major hurling matches and is home to the Kilkenny hurling team. It opened in 1927 replacing St. James Park.
