The 1922 Swedish Ice Hockey Championship (Swedish: ''Svenska Mästerskapet'') was the first ever tournament to determine a Swedish champion in ice hockey. The tournament was held over three days (Friday to Sunday), with three-rounds, and eight participating teams. The Swedish Ice Hockey Championship ( sv, Svenska mästerskapet i ishockey; capitalised ''Swedish Championship'') is a former ice hockey in Sweden, Swedish ice hockey knockout tournament that was played every year between 1922 Swedish Ice Hockey Championship, 1922 and 1951 Swedish Ice Hockey Championship, 1951 and determined the List of Swedish ice hockey champions, Swedish ice hockey champions. The inaugural Championship winners were IK Göta Ishockey, IK Göta. IK Göta also went on to become the tournament's most successful team, winning nine titles while the tournament was a standalone competition until 1953. After 1926 the winners were awarded the Le Mat Trophy. This trophy is currently awarded the winners of the Swedish Hockey League playoffs. Hammarby Idrottsförening ("Hammarby Sports Club"), commonly known as Hammarby IF or simply Hammarby ( or, especially locally, ), is a Swedish sports club located in Stockholm, with a number of member organizations active in a variety of different sports. It was founded in 1889 as ''Hammarby Roddförening'' ("Hammarby Rowing Association"), but by 1897 the club had diversified and was participating in different sports, leading to the renaming to Hammarby IF. Hammarby IF Hockey (1921–2008)
Hammarby IF Ishockeyförening (''"Hammarby IF Ice Hockey Club"'', or simply Hammarby Hockey) is an ice hockey club founded as "Bajen Fans IF" in 2008 by supporters of the previous incarnation of Hammarby Hockey which went bankrupt that same year. The club plays in Hockeytvåan, the fourth tier of Swedish men's ice hockey, since the 2021–22 season. In its first five seasons, the club was promoted three times. Prior to the 2013–14 season, the club had failed only once to achieve promotion to a higher league in the Swedish ice hockey system when it was available, as league restructuring prior to the 2010–11 season prevented their immediate rise to Division 2 for that season. IK Göta is a Sweden, Swedish sports club, which was very successful in several sports such as track and field, handball, bowling, field hockey, ice hockey, soccer (women only) and bandy during the 20th century. Their most famous and successful sport was ice hockey. They won the List of Swedish ice hockey champions, Swedish ice hockey championship nine times, including the 1922 Swedish Ice Hockey Championship, inaugural championship in 1922. The club was also operating bandy teams, both women's and men's, winning the List of Swedish bandy champions, Swedish men's championship in bandy once, in 1927. IF Linnéa was a sports club in Stockholm, which was subsequently split into two clubs, IF Linnéa Friidrott and IF Linnéa Boxning. IFK Stockholm is multi-sports club in Stockholm, Sweden. It is most known for its football team. Background The club was formed 1 February 1895 as IF Kamraterna (IFK) by two young students, Louis Zettersten and Pehr Ehnemark, and was the first IFK club. The club soon changed name to IFK Stockholm to differentiate it from the other IFK clubs that were formed in various towns in Sweden.
