1920 Major League Baseball Season
The 1920 Major League Baseball season was contested from April 14 to October 12, 1920. The Brooklyn Robins and Cleveland Indians were the regular season champions of the National League and American League, respectively. The Indians then defeated the Robins in the 1920 World Series, World Series, five games to two. This was the final season to be presided over by the three-person National Baseball Commission, which ran the major and minor leagues—composed of the American League List of American League presidents, President, National League List of National League presidents, President, and one team owner as president. Major League Baseball (MLB) is a professional baseball organization and the oldest major professional sports league in the world. MLB is composed of 30 total teams, divided equally between the National League (NL) and the American League (AL), with 29 in the United States and 1 in Canada.
