1913 Copa Ibarguren
The 1913 Copa Ibarguren was the 1st. edition of this National cup of Argentina, which trophy had been donated by Minister of Justice and Public Instruction, Dr. Carlos Ibarguren. It was played by the champions of both leagues, Primera División and Liga Rosarina de Football crowned during 1913. Racing (Primera División champion) faced Newell's Old Boys (Liga Rosarina champion) at Estadio Racing Club in Avellaneda, on April 5, 1914. Racing won 3–1 with two goals by striker Alberto Marcovecchio Alberto Andrés Marcovecchio (March 6, 1893 – February 28, 1958) was an Argentine football player that spent all his career at Racing Club de Avellaneda. Estadio Racing Club
The Estadio Racing Club, popularly known as Estadio Alsina y Colón, was an association football stadium in Avellaneda, a suburb of Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the home ground of Racing Club before they moved to Estadio Juan Domingo Perón in 1950, and was located in the intersection of Alsina and Colón streets, hence been sometimes referred as 'Estadio de Alsina y Colón'. The stadium held 30,000 spectators. It was one of two stadiums that hosted the first Copa América in 1916, along with Gimnasia y Esgrima. Ángel Betular (1891 – 3 June 1938) was an Argentine football player. Betular spent his entire career in Racing Club de Avellaneda, where he played as defender. Armando Reyes (28 October 1893 – 7 September 1954) was an Argentine association football, footballer who spent his entire career in Racing Club de Avellaneda, Racing Club, where he stayed from 1911 to 1929.
