1903 VFL Grand Final
The 1903 VFL Grand Final was an Australian rules football game contested between the Collingwood Football Club and Fitzroy Football Club, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne on 12 September 1903. It was the 6th annual Grand Final of the Victorian Football League, staged to determine the premiers for the 1903 VFL season. The match, attended by 32,263 spectators, was won by Collingwood by a margin of 2 points, marking that club's second successive premiership victory. Gerald Brosnan had a chance to win Fitzroy the premiership with a set shot for goal off the last kick of the game but missed narrowly to give Collingwood back-to-back flags. Matthew Fell
Matthew Foster Fell (23 August 1875 – 17 March 1957) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club during the early years of the Victorian Football League (VFL). Fell came to Collingwood from the town of Tungamah and made his senior debut in Round One 1898, soon establishing himself in the side as a utility player. Jack Incoll
John Valentine Incoll (14 February 1879 – 22 May 1961) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the South Melbourne Football Club and Collingwood Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family The son of Frank Tychicus Incoll (1840-1905), and his second wife, Margaret Incoll (1840-1929), née Nicholas, John Valentine Incoll was born at Ballarat East, Victoria on 14 February 1879. He married Florence Laura Mills (1881-1939) in 1901. They had two sons, and three daughters one of whom died aged 20 months, as the result of burns she received when her dress caught fire. Henry Ross Pears (28 July 1877 – 20 April 1912) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). James Russell Addison (1 January 1884 – 2 May 1957) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Lardie Tulloch
Lawrence Gideon "Lardie" Tulloch (15 April 1871 – 13 September 1955) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the early years of the Victorian Football League (VFL). Tulloch was born in Melbourne, the son of Daniel Tulloch and Elizabeth Trethway. Tulloch was a member of the Collingwood side which played in the inaugural VFL season, in 1897. A versatile player who was used at all ends of the ground, Tulloch was appointed Collingwood captain in 1902 and led Collingwood to the premiership that season, putting his name into history as the club's first ever VFL premiership winning captain. Eddie Drohan
Edward Patrick Drohan (17 July 1876 – 28 July 1938) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Fitzroy Football Club and Collingwood Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL) before becoming an umpire and a coach.
