Tor Lund
Tor Lund (20 January 1888 – 1 September 1972) was a Norwegian gymnast who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. He was part of the Norwegian team, which won the gold medal in the gymnastics men's team, free system event. He was born and died in Bergen, and represented Bergens TF Bergens Turnforening, often shortened to Bergens Turn is a Norwegian sports club from Bergen, founded in 1882. Ivar Skjånes
Ivar Skjånes (5 March 1888, Kolvereid – 5 June 1975, Trondheim) was a Norwegian politician for the Norwegian Labour Party, Labour Party. Skjånes became List of mayors of Trondheim, mayor of Trondheim, the third largest city in Norway, in 1935. On 31 October 1940, during the German occupation of Norway, he was removed on the orders of the occupants. He was also imprisoned, first from March to May 1942 in Falstad concentration camp. In September 1944 he was arrested again and incarcerated in Vollan concentration camp until October, then in Berg concentration camp until 29 March 1945. When the occupation ended in 1945, he assumed office again. He left in 1952. In 1948 he was appointed as List of County Governors of Sør-Trøndelag, County Governor of Sør-Trøndelag, which he held to 1958. Knut Gysler
Knut Trygve Gysler (21 February 1888 – 22 May 1967) was a Norwegian equestrian. He was born in Christiania. He competed at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, where he placed 9th in individual eventing. He competed at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam, where he tied 21st in individual jumping, and placed 11th in team jumping. Gysler was an officer ( rittmeister in the cavalry) in the Norwegian Army, and fought in the Norwegian Campaign of World War II. Between 1930 and 1940 he also ran and owned the ''Hippodromen'' riding center in Oslo Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. Aldor Ingebrigtsen
Aldor Ingebrigtsen (16 February 1888–14 November 1952) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was born in the hamlet of Lyfjord, on the island of Kvaløya in Tromsøysund Municipality. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Troms county in 1922, and was re-elected on seven occasions. During his eighth term, he died and was replaced by Hans Kristian Hauan. Ferdinand Bie
Ferdinand Reinhardt Bie (16 February 1888 – 9 November 1961) was a Norwegian track and field athlete. At the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm he won the silver medal in pentathlon. On winner Jim Thorpe's subsequent disqualification for having played semi-professional baseball in 1913, Bie was declared Olympic champion, but refused to accept the gold medal from the IOC. In 1982 Thorpe was reinstated as champion by the IOC; however, Bie was still listed as co-champion until the IOC announced 15 July 2022 that Thorpe's gold medal had been reinstated and Bie became the silver medalist. He also finished eleventh in the long jump, and competed in 110 metres hurdles and decathlon The decathlon is a combined event in Athletics (sport), athletics consisting of ten track and field events.
