Sara Oust
Sara Oust (1778–1822) was a Norwegian lay minister and follower of Hans Nielsen Hauge. She was one of the first female religious leaders within the Haugean movement. Biography Sara Oust was born at the village of Vingelen in the parish of Tolga in Hedmark, Norway. She was the daughter of Engebret Engebretsen Vingelen and Mari Persdatter Røe. Being fatherless at the age of seven, Sara Oust helped her mother carry coal at the Røros Copper Works (''Røros kopparverk'')''.'' She first became aware of the teachings of Hans Nielsen Hauge in 1799. She subsequently preached in Trøndelag between 1799 and 1805 alongside another female lay minister, Randi Hevle from Drivdalen in Sør-Trøndelag, and later Kirsten Fossen from Kvikne. She reportedly had a beautiful singing voice and she also wrote psalms. Johan Reinhardt
Johannes Christopher Hagemann Reinhardt (23 December 1778 – 31 October 1845), sometimes called J. C. H. Reinhardt, was a professor in zoology at the University of Copenhagen. Born in Rendalen parish in Norway, his father, Johannes Henrik Reinhardt, was a priest, and his mother, Johanne Elisabeth Mommesen, was from Holmestrand (Norway). He was not baptized Johannes, but adopted the name later. After having been educated at home, he came to Copenhagen in 1792 and entered the university in 1793, where he passed the first two examinations, but after that spent almost two years at home, where he used the opportunity to study plants and animals. In 1796, he returned to Copenhagen to study theology, but his tendencies pulled him away from this study and towards natural history. The Norwegian Constituent Assembly (in Norwegian ''Grunnlovsforsamlingen'', also known as ''Riksforsamlingen'') is the name given to the 1814 constitutional assembly at Eidsvoll in Norway, that adopted the Norwegian Constitution and formalised the dissolution of the union with Denmark. In Norway, it is often just referred to as ''Eidsvollsforsamlingen'', which means ''The Assembly of Eidsvoll''. The Assembly The election started in February 1814 in Christiania (now Oslo) in order to draft the Norwegian Constitution. Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie
Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie (7 December 1778 – 10 October 1849) was a Norwegian attorney. He was a member of the National Assembly at Eidsvoll in 1814 and served as the Norwegian Constituent Assembly secretary. Background Born in Kristiansund, Møre og Romsdal, Wilhelm F. K. Christie spent several childhood years in Bergen. He was the son of postmaster Johan Koren Christie (1745–1823) and Anne Thue Brodtkorb (1753–1834). His family can be traced back to Andrew Davidson Christie (ca. 1620-1694), born in Montrose, Scotland, who became a citizen of Bergen in 1654. Jens Rynning
Jens Rynning (May 30, 1778 – June 11, 1857) was a Norwegian priest and public education advocate. He spent longest part of his working life as a priest in Ringsaker and Snåsa. Life Rynning was born in Kastnes in Tranøy. He was the son of Ole Rynning, who served as the bailiff () in Senja and Tromsø, and his wife Golla Hveding. Rynning married a daughter of the rural shopkeeper Bernt Anker Steen in Ringsaker. In 1796 he enrolled in the Trondheim Cathedral School, and he received his ''cand.theol.'' degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1800. In addition to theology, had also studied other topics that he thought could be useful as a priest and teacher of the people, such as agriculture. His interest in such practical matters made him a typical example of a so-called " potato priest" ( no, potetprest).
