Ernst Brandenburger
Ernst Brandenburger (active from 1689 – died c. 1713) was a Danish master builder and entrepreneur who, through his collaboration with Christof Marselis (ca. 1670–1731) and Wilhelm Friedrich von Platen (1667-1732), left his mark on Danish Baroque architecture during the early reign of King Frederick IV. Biography Brandenburger was engaged as master builder for the island of Funen in 1690. By 1695, he was working as master mason at the royal palaces and as constructor of royal buildings in 1698. From 1700 he also owned a brickyard in Vedbæk. He was royal building inspector from 1704 and until his death, presumably in 1713 since he was buried from St. Peter's Church in Copenhagen on 14 December that year. Christian Thomsen Carl, Christian Thomasen Carl, Christian Thomæsen Carl, Christian Thomesen Carl, Christen Thomasen Carl or Christen Thomesen Carl, in German tradition Carlson or Karlson, rarely Carlsen (born 1676 in Assens, Funen - died 29 March 1713 in Greifswald, Swedish Pomerania) was a Danish naval officer. He is known not only for his military career, but also for saving the town council's archives in Greifswald as well as the whole town of Anklam from being burned during the Great Northern War. Johannes Erasmus Iversen
Johannes Erasmus Iversen (1713 – 28 February 1755) was a Danish Baroque composer. He also worked as a teacher, musician, conductor and a concert organizer. Life Originally a student at the University of Copenhagen, Iversen chose to make his living as a musician. From 1740, he regularly arranged public concerts together with other performers. This led to the creation of the Musical Society in 1744, which Iversen soon came to lead. The organization was both a musical society and an academy of music. The Society was closed down in 1749, but soon after Iversen created a new ''Collegium Musicum''. This new society consisted in part of musicians educated by Iversen. When Iversen was appointed precentor in Vor Frue Kirke, the cathedral of Copenhagen, the concerts by the new society diminished. Iversen himself apparently rarely gave concerts in public after that. Christian Fleischer
Christian Fleischer (10 August 1713 – 21 March 1768) was a Danish civil servant in the naval administration. He was a son of Herman Reinhold Fleischer (1656–1712). His father died before he was born, but several of his uncles had notable careers in Norway. Baltzer Fleischer was his brother thus Christian Fleischer was a great uncle of Palle Rømer Fleischer. The family had roots in Elbing, East Prussia. He took education from 1730 to 1733, and was then hired as a private tutor for Count Ulrik Adolf Danneskjold-Samsøe ( :da:Ulrik Adolph Danneskiold-Samsøe). He would serve the Count in his later professional life. He was a secretary and chief auditor in the naval administration in the 1740s. In 1754 he became the only non-noble member of the Collegium of the Admiralty and Commissariat-General. He headed the naval etat from 1767 (acting since 1763). Frederick IV (Danish: ''Frederik''; 11 October 1671 – 12 October 1730) was King of Denmark and Norway from 1699 until his death. Frederick was the son of Christian V of Denmark-Norway and his wife Charlotte Amalie of Hesse-Kassel. Early life Frederick was born on 11 October 1671 at Copenhagen Castle as the eldest son of King Christian V and his spouse Charlotte Amalie of Hesse-Kassel. The newborn prince was baptized the same evening with the name Frederick by the royal confessional Hans Leth. His grandfather King Frederick III had died a year and a half before he was born, and as the eldest son of the ruling king he was thus crown prince from birth. At the age of 18, he was given a seat on the Council of State as the heir apparent to the throne. As crown prince, Frederick broadened his education by travelling in Europe, led by his chamberlain Ditlev Wibe. Royal Danish Naval Academy
The Royal Danish Naval Academy ( da, Søværnets Officersskole or more commonly, ''Søofficerskolen'') educates and commissions all officers for the Royal Danish Navy. Having existed for more than 300 years, it is the oldest still-existing officers' academy in the world. The education All aspirants (unlike many navies all candidates begin their time as aspirants and then become cadets) begin their education with 6 months of basic military training and general seamanship. Parts of this at the ''Naval NCO and Basic Training School'' (Danish: ''Søværnets Sergent- og Grundskole'') near Frederikshavn and other parts on the training vessel ''Georg Stage''. This goes to both aspirants that begin their education without prior military service and those who are recruited among enlisted and petty officers.
