David Klöcker Ehrenstrahl
David Klöcker Ehrenstrahl (23 September 1628 – 23 October 1698) was a Sweden, Swedish nobleman and portrait painter. Biography David Klöcker was born in Hamburg. He was the son of Johann Klöcker and had eight siblings. In 1648, Klöcker traveled to Amsterdam where he learned how to paint following the instructions from Juriaen Jacobsze (1624–1685). In 1652, he left his art studies in the Netherlands and moved to Skokloster Castle (''Skoklosters slott'') on Lake Mälaren, Sweden at the request of Swedish nobleman Carl Gustaf Wrangel (1613–1676). Between 1654 and 1661 he studied in Italy and visited the courts of both France and England. On his return he became entitled Court painter (''hovkonterfejare'') in 1661. He was raised to the nobility in 1674 at which time he took the surname Ehrenstråhl. He became court intendant in 1690. Anna Åkerhielm or Åkerhjelm, née Anna Agriconia (1642 – 11 February 1698), was a Swedish writer, in languages including Latin, and traveller. She was the first woman in Sweden to have been ennobled for her own actions (1691). Biography Early life Born in Nyköping, Sweden, she was the child of the priest Magnus Jonae Agriconius. But she became an orphan at an early age. Her brother Samuel was secretary at the Swedish embassies in London and Paris, and was ennobled in 1679. She was in 1671 employed at the court of Countess Palatine Maria Eufrosyne of Zweibrücken, Princess Maria Eufrosyne, the aunt of king Charles XI of Sweden, where she became known for her great learning and her interest in science. She became the personal companion of the daughter of Maria Eufrosyne, Charlotta De la Gardie, with whom she had an intimate friendship. Lovisa Von Burghausen
Lovisa von Burghausen (1698 – 20 January 1733) was a Swedish memoirist who became famous for her story about her time in captivity as a slave in Russia after being taken prisoner by the Russians during the Great Northern War. She was sold as a slave several times before she eventually recovered her freedom, and her story became perhaps the most famous of the many stories of Carolinian fates of this period. Kidnapped Lovisa was born in the city of Narva in Swedish Estonia, one of five daughters to the noble Swedish major Gustaf von Burghausen and Margareta von Brundert. Her father had been taking part in the defence of the city when it was taken by the Russians after the Battle of Narva (1704). Charlotta Frölich
Charlotta Frölich (28 November 1698 – 21 July 1770) was a Swedish writer, historian, agronomist and poet. She sometimes used the pseudonym Lotta Triven. She published poems, stories, and work about political and scientific subjects. She was the first female to be published by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Biography Charlotta Frölich was the daughter of the Royal Councillor General Count Carl Gustaf Frölich and Beata Christina Cronström, and the paternal niece of the religious visionary and author Eva Margareta Frölich. In 1735, she married count Johan Funck, country governor of Uppland. Frölich described her childhood as very strict, deprived of any luxury and devoted to Lutheranism and hard work, and stated that she was educated in history, reading, writing, household tasks and religion.
