Costantini De' Servi
Costantini de' Servi (1554–1622) was an Italian painter, sculptor, garden designer and architect in the Renaissance. Early life Born in 1554, de' Servi was the son of a diplomat. Career Primarily a sculptor and Medicean architect, de' Servi also painted. He primarily did religious-themed works for some of the European courts. His only known surviving painting, ''Virgin and Child'' was shown at the Cleveland Museum of Art. A Tondo (art), tondo (round) work of oil on panel, the painting was begun in 1590 and completed in 1610. It was gifted to Cleveland Museum in Ohio by Mr. and Mrs. Preston H. Saunders in 1971. He travelled constantly, reaching as far west as the court of James VI and I, James I in London, and as far east as Persia. Lucas Cranach the Younger (german: Lucas Cranach der Jüngere ; October 4, 1515 – January 25, 1586) was a German Renaissance painter and portraitist, the son of Lucas Cranach the Elder and brother of Hans Cranach. Life and career Lucas Cranach the Younger was born in Wittenberg, Germany on October 4, 1515, the second son of Lucas Cranach the Elder and Barbara Brengebier. He began his career as a painter as an apprentice in his father's workshop, training alongside his older brother, Hans. Following the sudden death of Hans in 1537, Cranach the Younger would assume greater responsibilities in his father's workshop. The Protestant Reformation began in Wittenberg in 1517. Cranach the Elder was friends with Martin Luther and became known as a leading producer of Protestant artistic propaganda. Cesare Corte
Cesare Corte (1554–1613) was an Italian painter of the Renaissance period, active mainly in his natal city of Genoa. He was the pupil of his father, the Venetian painter and later alchemist Valerio Corte. He trained under Luca Cambiaso. According to Baldinucci, he was often in demand as a portrait painter. As a young man, he traveled to London and Paris. It is said that Queen Elizabeth of England requested a portrait from him, although he is not mentioned in Lord Orfurd's ''Anecdotes''. In Genoa, he painted ''Saints Simon and Francis'' for Santa Maria del Carmine. He painted ''San Pietro di Banchi adoring the Virgin'' (1600) for the church of the same name.
