12 Basic Principles Of Animation
Disney's twelve basic principles of animation were introduced by the Disney animators Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas (animator), Frank Thomas in their 1981 book ''The Illusion of Life: Disney Animation''. The principles are based on the work of Disney's Nine Old Men, Disney animators from the 1930s onwards, in their quest to produce more realistic animation. The main purpose of these principles was to produce an illusion that cartoon characters adhered to the basic Physical law, laws of physics, but they also dealt with more abstract issues, such as emotional timing and character appeal. Pose To Pose Animation
Pose to pose is a term used in animation, for creating key frame, key poses for characters and then inbetweening them in intermediate frames to make the character appear to move from one pose to the next. Pose-to-pose is used in traditional animation as well as computer-based 3D animation. In physics, the center of mass of a distribution of mass in space (sometimes referred to as the balance point) is the unique point where the weighted relative position of the distributed mass sums to zero.
