10th Arabian Gulf Cup
The 10th Arabian Gulf Cup ( ar, كأس الخليج العربي) was held in Kuwait, between 21 February to 9 March 1990. All matches were played at Peace & Friendship Stadium. Saudi Arabia withdrew before the tournament, as they considered that the horses in the competition logo were a reference to two animals used by the Kuwaitis in the Battle of Jahra in 1920. Iraq also withdrew while the tournament was still running, complaining about the referee on their tie with the UAE. Mohammed Ibrahem
Mohammed Ebrahim Hajeyah is a retired Kuwaiti football player. Ibrahem played for Kuwaiti football club Al Qadisiya (Qadsia Sporting Club) in the Gulf Club Champions Cup, Kuwaiti Premier League, Crown Prince Cup and the Kharafi Cup, and for the Kuwait national football team. He was head coach of the Kuwait national football team until 2009 when he stepped down and was replaced by Goran Tufegdžić. Muttar Khalifa
Muttar is a village in upper Kuttanad, Alappuzha district of Kerala, India. It is located 10 km west of Thiruvalla on the Kidangara Neerattupuram (Muttar Central) road, surrounded by Thalavady, Neerettupuram, Kunnamkary, Chathamkary & Mithrakary. The Arabian Gulf Cup ( ar, كأس الخليج العربي, ''Kass Al-Khaleej Al-Arabi''), often referred to simply as the Gulf Cup, is a biennial football competition governed by the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation for its eight member nations. The history of the competition has also seen it held every three to four years due to political or organisational problems. History The idea for the tournament was established at the 1968 Summer Olympics, and the first Arabian Gulf Cup took place in 1970 which was won by Kuwait. Kuwait has been the most successful team in the tournament's history, winning 10 tournaments out of 24 in total, while Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iraq all have three titles. Saad Qais ( ar, سعد قيس نعمان), is an Iraqi former professional footballer born in 1967 who played in the Iraqi national team (1987–1993). Saad was one of the star Iraqi players of the late 1980s and through the 1990s. Ahmed Radhi
Ahmed Radhi Humaiesh Al-Salehi, ( ar, أحمد راضي هميش الصالحي, 21 April 1964 – 21 June 2020) was an Iraqi footballer who played as a forward. Regarded as one of Iraq and Asia's best players of all-time, Radhi scored the only Iraqi goal in the FIFA World Cup during its 1986 edition, a low shot to the corner of the net against Belgium in a 2–1 defeat. He was voted as the Asian Footballer of the Year in 1988. Laith Hussein Shihaib Al-Tawlid ( ar, ليث حسين شهيب التولد; born 13 October 1968) is an Iraqi former football player who was the captain of the Iraqi national team. He was vital to speaking out against Uday Hussein, the chairman of the Iraqi Olympic Committee, who was known for his brutality against the football team. International career Hussein made his international debut at the age of 17 in 1986. He played in the 1988 Olympics in Seoul and helped Iraq win the Asian Youth Championship in Doha.
