"1000×" (pronounced "a thousand times") is a single by Australian singer-songwriter Jarryd James featuring New Zealand indie pop group, Broods. It was released on 17 June 2016. Background and recording Speaking to Matt and Alex on Triple J in June 2016, James explained "It's the first song I wrote when I first started with working with Joel Little. He was still living in New Zealand... so I went over to Auckland and spent half a day and we came up with this song." James explained that he wasn't sure on the track and it was excluded from his album '' Thirty One''. Broods vocalist Georgia Nott said; "I still remember the first time I heard Jarryd sing and I almost cried... I'm obsessed with love songs and got really attached to it and ended up walking down the aisle to the demo." The two decided to get Nott to sing on it too and make it a 'duet' and her vocals were added in January 2016. Broods
Broods is a New Zealand musical duo from Nelson, composed of Georgia Josiena Nott on lead vocals, with older brother and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Allan Joseph Nott on production and backing vocals. They released the single "Bridges", which went to No. 8 on the New Zealand singles chart, and signed with Capitol and Polydor Records. They released their self-titled debut EP, ''Broods'', on 30 January 2014, which was followed by a full-length album, ''Evergreen'', on 22 August 2014. Jarryd James Klapper (born December 1984, in Brisbane) is an Australian singer, songwriter and record producer who performs as Jarryd James. He released his debut single "Do You Remember" on 30 January 2015, which peaked at No. 2 on the ARIA Singles Chart. His debut album, '' Thirty One'', also reached No. 2 on the related ARIA Albums Chart. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2015, James won Best Pop Release for "Do You Remember". Career 2007–2018: Beginnings and ''Thirty One'' Jarryd first enjoyed moderate success from playing guitar and singing in a band called Holland. ''High'' is the second extended play (EP) by Australian alternative pop singer-songwriter and producer Jarryd James. The EP was released on 29 July 2016 and debuted and peaked at no. 40 on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Albums Chart.
