1000mods
1000mods is a stoner metal band from Chiliomodi, Greece, formed in 2006. The group consists of Dani G. (vocals and bass), Giannis S. (guitar), Giorgos T. (guitar), and Labros G. (drums). The name of the group is a pun linked to the village in which they were formed, as "a thousand" is pronounced "chillia" in Greek. History 1000mods formed in 2006. The band released two EPs, ''Blank Reality'' in 2007 and ''Liquid Sleep'' in 2009. In October 2010, they produced their first album ''Super Van Vacation'' with Billy Anderson (Sleep, Neurosis). In order to promote their debut album, they played two European tour with 40 shows in 15 countries, including festivals such as Rockwave Festival, Desertfest and Lake on Fire. The second album ''Vultures'' was released on 30 May 2014 by The Lab Records. Rockwave Festival is a rock festival that takes place in Malakasa, Greece, near Athens. It is one of the most famous music festivals in Greece. The festival's history begins in 1996, but its popularity has spread since 2004. Chiliomodi
Chiliomodi ( el, Χιλιομόδι) is a village in eastern Corinthia, Peloponnese, Greece. It was the seat of the municipality of Tenea. Chiliomodi is situated in a valley, 3 km southeast of Koutalas, 5 km west of Athikia, 21 km southwest of Corinth and 43 km northeast of Argos. It is on the Greek National Road 7 (Corinth – Argos – Tripoli – Kalamata) and on the railway from Corinth to Kalamata. Chiliomodi has several schools, shops and a church. Toxic Holocaust
Toxic Holocaust is an American thrash metal band from Portland, Oregon. History Joel Grind founded Toxic Holocaust in 1999. He originally wrote and recorded all of the band's music himself, and after a couple of demo releases (''Radiation Sickness'', 1999; ''Critical Mass'', 2002), he made his official album debut as Toxic Holocaust with ''Evil Never Dies'' (2003). Two years later, after some touring with a hired backing band, Grind released the second Toxic Holocaust album, '' Hell on Earth'' (2005), which once again he wrote and recorded by himself. The album notably features cover art by Ed Repka, known for having created iconic covers for albums by Megadeth, Death and others. Kyuss
Kyuss ( ) was an American rock band, formed in Palm Desert, California, in 1987. The band disbanded in 1995, and since then, members of Kyuss have gone on to form or play in several notable bands including Queens of the Stone Age, Fu Manchu, Dwarves, Eagles of Death Metal, Mondo Generator, Hermano, Unida, Slo Burn and Them Crooked Vultures. In November 2010, three former members of the band (minus Homme, who declined to participate) reunited under the adapted moniker "Kyuss Lives!" for a world tour with plans to record a new album at some point. A federal lawsuit subsequently filed by Homme resulted in Oliveri leaving the band in March 2012, and five months later a court ruled that Garcia and Bjork were not allowed to release audio recordings under the Kyuss Lives! moniker. Colour Haze
Colour Haze is a stoner/ psychedelic rock group from Munich, Germany, consisting of singer and guitarist Stefan Koglek, drummer Manfred Merwald, bassist Mario Oberpucher and keyboardist Jan Faszbender. Formed in the mid-nineties, Colour Haze is one of the oldest German stoner outfits, and have since then become one of the flagships of the German stoner rock scene. Tours of the band have included headline spots at smaller national and international rock festivals, such as the U.S. festival Emissions from the Monolith in 2006 alongside Orange Goblin, Boris, and General Tso. Monkey3 is a psychedelic stoner rock band from Switzerland. History Native to Lausanne, Monkey3 was created in 2001, initially as a gathering of musicians in jam sessions of stoner rock influence. In 2003 they became a permanent group featuring Kevin on bass, Walter on drums, Boris on guitar, dB on keyboards. Bradley Boatright (born 1976) is an American musician, record producer, and mastering engineer based in Portland, Oregon. Boatright is known for his work as a guitarist and vocalist in From Ashes Rise and The Cooters, and as a mastering engineer at Audiosiege, credited on recordings by Off!, American Standards, Sleep, Noothgrush, Pierced Arrows, and more.
