1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade (Macedonia)
The 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade as a higher joint-tactical unit represents a major combat force of the Macedonian army that provides prepared forces for protection and support of national interests and provides support during natural disasters, epidemics and other dangers. Outside the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, the declared units are participating in peacekeeping operations and they fulfill the international military responsibilities. History The 14th MMNABr set off on 18 September, immediately after its formation, via village Budinarci to stop the advance of the fascists troops towards Vinica. Wolves (military)
The Special Operations Regiment ( mk, Полк за специјални операции) is the main special operations unit of the Army of North Macedonia. Under the command of the Special Operations Regiment are the Ranger Battalion as well as the Special Force Battalion "Wolves". The Wolves unit was formed on 1 March 1994. The Special Operations Regiment is responsible for defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of North Macedonia from foreign hostiles. This unit is fully compatible with NATO standards. The North Macedonia Air Brigade ( mk, Воздухопловен ВИНГ) is the air warfare and air defense force of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia. M79 Rocket Launcher
The M79 Osa ( sr, Оса; "wasp") is a Yugoslav-made portable 90 mm anti-tank weapon made of fibre-reinforced plastics. It resembles the French portable anti-tank launcher 89 mm LRAC F1. It consists of the launcher, a CN-6 sighting piece, rocket and carrying case for the rocket. The M79 shoots unguided projectiles in direct sight and is effective against armoured fighting vehicles and fortifications. Operation The M79 Osa is operated by a two-man team, an operator and a loader. The loader inserts the rocket container through the rear of the launcher. The operator then takes aim at the target through the CN-6 sight. The CN-6 sight has 3.5x magnification and a 10 degree field of view. The Milkor MGL (Multiple Grenade Launcher) is a lightweight 40 mm six-shot revolver-type grenade launcher (variations also fire 37/38mm) developed and manufactured in South Africa by Milkor (Pty) Ltd. An automatic grenade launcher (AGL) or grenade machine gun is a grenade launcher that is capable of fully automatic fire, and is typically loaded with either an ammunition belt or magazine.
